UPDATE: You can also equip pure poison weapon on another character (only poison without physical dmg, usually staff and wands have that type of dmg) and hit any undead characters in your party. They will heal from the attack. I was completely wrong about necromancer spells. Sorry bout that. Hasty with the info. Necromancer tree is best for undead not because of spells, but because it gives you % healed based on the dmg you deal. Works with spells and skills. So it makes you self sufficient. Heal yourself by attacking.

Hi, to add to the mystery, my main is a Human Undead Enchanter with his skill points in Necromancer and Geomancer and i testify that you receive a heal when using Mosquito Swarm and that using Blood Sucker does give you a heal when Undead. Just tried it out on two new characters to be certain, one Human undead and the other Elf, both on the woman who fitted your collar in the first room on the ship. Bizarrely the only time I used Blood Sucker and it DIDNT work, was after i'd turned the blood to poison! On that occasion i only received the usual poison heal but nothing from Blood Sucker. Hope this helps.

Dont worry, the rest of your vid was brilliant, and has already made me decide to restart my campaign (i was still quite near the beginning) Instead of Human i'm going as a Elf for the Corpse Eater skill you said can be helpful and i didnt know that Undead where particularly susceptible to fire. Question, does it matter which preset Build you choose (Warrior, Priest etc) if you then rearrange the 3 skill points in the Abilities section?

you can heal yourself with poison totems if totem can see only your undeads. also poison intricates can heal you

If you create a totem on a poison surface they tend to prio healing (Poison attack) your undead characters when in range even over attacking.

I've just started a playthrough with an undead summoner, works real well as the summoner can move in and out of range of damage while still having the incarnate and totems on the field. Rarely ever gets hit in combat if positioned well. Along with other benefits of damage typed totems and incarnates which get abilities to damage or heal. Real key to any summoner build is getting summoning 10 ASAP for the power jump on the incarnate.

Another thing to note is necro, hydro and geo is a great combo due to the necro damage healing and blood rain/ normal rain + contamination combo to make huge poison surfaces

11:25 yes you can find the talon in the prison/ dungeon area and the merchant on the hallow marsh bridge has one for sale

Summoner is hands down the best base skillset period, because not only does Dimensional Bolt let you throw any random status out, but the poison elemental totems will actually target you to heal you as an undead, and your summoned Incarnate can be buffed with the Farsight Invocation to upgrade it to get a ranged attack of its element, so if you summon it on some poison, it'll be able to heal you once again. On top of that, however, if you summon an Incarnate on water, it gets restoration, giving you access to healing for other characters.

I usually don't bother with Dimensional Bolt because you don't get to choose, but when you recruit an origin character with that option, you just have to deal with it. The poison+summoning person doesn't necessarily have to be undead themself. But you could use multiplayer (or run multiple instances of the game on one computer with "multiplayer") to make an undead party of 4. Multiple contaminates and poison+summoning for support from the back line. Fire will be a real pest though... In single-player, you can make a custom undead and recruit Fane and play as double Lone Wolf for an all-undead "full party". Since you don't need the other origin characters, you might as well rip their face... X-D

Rain might be pretty important. It's often difficult to keep poison on the field, and it's impossible if fire takes over completely. Contaminate is great for an all-undead party, but in single-player, the most you can have is generic starter undead + recruit Fane (which is enough for a full double-Lone Wolf party).

Empty bottle + ooze barrel crafts in to poison potions AND you keep the barrel. So an ooze barrel = unlimited poison heals

Try using rain to cover a huge radius with water then contaminate the water after that you're basically unkillable if possible pick up fortify just in case they light the contamination on fire.

As undead Ranger you could poison dart yourself for a heal and then elemental arrowhead the poison puddle for a poison arrow.

When undead (Fane for example) is affected by decaying touch then mosquito swarm and blood sucker deal damage instead of healing. I have not trying casting restoration on an undead who is decaying - will that now heal him instead?

Peeter Maamets I've had instances when the restoration spell was healing me with decaying touch on my char. I've had success with shackling an enemy with char A, then damaging char A with other friendly spells like restoration or mosquito swarm.

If you cast fortify it removes poison bit if your standing in a poison pool and you move or do anything , it'll reapply , also anything that's poisoned will heal undead as they have above 100% resistance to poison and being immune to deathfog nets you unique items from time to time

Poison is a terrible choice for undead as the healing sucks better being a necromancer and just have tons of poison consumables but no matter what class you play necro is always worth specin into just for the passive

+Slava Silionov Sure you can. I was wrong in the video about mosquito swarm not healing undead. Blood sucker doesnt work when i try to heal my main character that is undeas bit it heals Fane so im confused. As for funniest, maybe metamorph? Going around as undead turning enemies into chickens.

Bloodsucker works strange with undead. Its not healing at all one of my undead characters in the group but its healing Fane. No sense whatsoever. It seems like a bug. But was it meant to heal undead or no in the first place? No idea really. Undead cleric for one. Seems like a really good idea. Deals dmg to the ones you want to deal dmg to, heals ones that you want to heal. Pop poison to heal yourself (if blood spells dont work, as i said it has some strange mechanics). Spread attributes to strength, int and const. Use strength melee weapon because decaying touch has short range and youre ready. Frontline healer/dmg dealer.

+BelialRus Non undead necromancer could be a good mage. Add aerothurge for shocking and stunning, hydrodophist to create frozen surface or geomancer to create poison pools. Its also good for tankier characters cause of healing. Its a very versatile skill tree.
