Turned out awesome man! Love it. Don't let Cambry see though or else I'll be tasked with doing this to our bathroom.

Thank you for all this disassembling info. I'm not doing ship lap, but my bathroom is undergoing a renovation. I built the new vanity and will be removing the old crappy one. I dreaded it. But now I know what to expect. Additionally, I've removed almost all of the old wallpaper but I needed to get behind that toilet tank. Now I know how to do that, too.🙂 Things that seemed daunting and unknown are really quite simple. And wow, underlayment was $13.98 a sheet. Those certainly were the good old days.

It looks awesome and you make it look soooooo easy! Doe's anyone know if this will also do good in a bathroom with a shower? I am worried about the moisture. Ofcourse I will not do it inside the wall where the tub is but outside by the vanity and toilet only.

I seeing people buying cheap boards to make their own ship lap, now I am thinking about to cut down my trees, mill my own board to make my ship lap. 😂

As of Sept 2022 your underlayment, 5mm at Lowes is $28 for a 4x8 sheet. You payed half tha price in 2020?

Huge tip for DIY people that he didn't mention. Be aware of your plumbing and wiring. Not every house has steel stud plates, especially older homes. You will shoot a nail or two right into your copper or plastic water lines or the pvc draining pipes.. You may not even know you hit it until later when seeing water damage. You should know right away if you hit a wire, because it will or at should flip the breaker. Which is a easy fix. But if ya hit the plumbing, it can be a expensive and very aggravating mistake. You'll have to either take shiplap back out and cut open the drywall where you think you hit it.. That or cut the drywall open in the room next to bathroom if possible. Then you will only have to fix drywall after obviously fixing the plumbing.

This is what I wish every diy video was like. It’s always some basic white girl who fiddles though it and then some basic white husband takes over and finishes it as she stands there filling holes or something with the camera sped up x2
