Oh so true, I feel like I know them all personally. It is a bit like watching a soap opera that is perpetually renewed, which is not only OK with me, I actually love owning my addiction! After adjusting to the Covid quarantine, watching Stephanie's vids has been a remarkably effective substitute for actual socializing.

It must be so good to be able to walk into different rooms without having to all hovel in the kitchen for warmth.😅 Loved this video - just like old Chateau Diaries with nitty gritty household maintenance. Well done Stephanie on the brass cleaning too. The courtyard will look a treat with the beautiful tulip display.💖🌷🔥🥰

@@Winton46 No I didn't use the same. I used Bartoline boiled linseed oil with white spirit. I have used these for years and it works fine but don't make the mistake of adding too much oil as it will take ages to dry. I don't wax polish mine, just a dry mop to buff them up. It will last for years. Some people recommend using raw linseed oil and turps. Hope this is useful. Julia

You need to invest in a brush mop handle and an acid brush. The acid brush is a rectangular brush used by brick masons , and the brush mop handle is a broom handle with a clamp on the end that will clamp down on and secure the acid brush or any scrub brush you might have.

A tip for brass and bronze, use 'Popote' or 'Eau Japonaise' , works like magic and much less work ! You can find them at most big DIY stores. They also conserve the patina of the metals more de-oxidising rather than rubbing ! Great floors ! I work alone and I talk myself through things like Amaury, surely a sign of high intelligence ! Although I'm not sure that I talk to myself whilst working or do I work whilst talking to myself , mmmmm hihihihi xoxoxoxo

We had a pub with brass taps and hand and foot rails....(ugh). After experimenting and asking around, I got an industrail type of brasso which i cannot remember the name of but i got it from Stephensons in Heavily stockport which caters to the trade. It was THE best. The BEST material to use is the blue catering paper that you dry your hands with. Any paper is in essence a sand paper, so the paper towel by defination is the finest. You use it to put it on AND essentially to rub it in and buff it up. Best to wear gloves. Trust me after much trying of other things, like the cream and the brasso wool ...its the quickest and works THE best. Saves you time and does a good job. So are you working on the silver next? I heard if you put tinfoil in water with the silver it will break up the dirt. Hope this helps.

The meat pie looked so hearty and good for a cold winter day. I am so glad you got the heaters in so you won't freeze. The flowers are awesome and will be super in the garden and woods. The tiled floor looks great treated. Lalande just keeps coming more alive with all of the renovations, upkeep, and cheerful fun people.

ADVENT !!!! Yippeee. I used to really hate Christmas as my beautiful Mum fell ill on Christmas Day and passed 10 days later. Since watching your vlogs and becoming a Patreon, from the beginning, I am rekindling my Christmas spirit all thanks to you Stephanie. I sincerely wish to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. xxxxxxxx ❤❤
