My water was boiling then used fine salt you recommended and it still didn’t dissolve and didn’t thicken. I still love.

Terrible results. I've tried it twice and it starts off well, then separates after 2 days and you get nothing but a runny liquid, and when that has finished, a super thick sludge that has trouble coming out through the nozzle. In my opinion. This is a poor diy formula that, because it doesn't contain some type of stabilizer, it ends up both separating and disappointing. Even after I shake the heck out of it. I don't understand how there could be so many positive comments on something that just doesn't work.

Since water and oil don't mix, you should use a preservative even though honey is a preservative on its own but not when mixed with many other ingredients. There are many natural preservatives that you can use (optiphen for example) because it can mold.

Hi, I made it but almost immediately when I added the castile soap it thicken it so much and looked like when the milk is bad. It separated the soap and water. Why did it get like that and how can I fix it. I don't want to throw it away.
@lesley4115
@lesley4115 5 ай бұрын
This recipe is off somehow. Like you I tried it and when adding the Castile soap to the salt water it immediately became very thick almost to a butter like consistency. I didn't want to waste it so I mixed with a hand mixer with the rest of the ingredients and it came out like a body butter. I thinned it a little with some water and got a light, foamy body wash type consistency but it was so light it was a real pain to try and get it into a bottle. It works and lathers well but I already see that it's starting to separate. I guess I'll have to shake it up every time I use it 😅. I think it's the salt ratio that is off (too much salt). I'll try again when this batch finishes adding a little salt at a time till it's the right consistency and hopefully get it right.🤞

@@MyMerryMessyGermanLife No. I tried adding water, table salt but it turned into a lard consistency. I ended up whipping it up and using it as a whipped soap Lol. I didn’t want to waste product. would love to add epsom salt, i need to find a way. I did make it with table salt and it came out perfect. Take salt is definitely the right ingredient.

I would suggest you look for fast hair growth fortified shampoo to double hair growth.

Hey, I just followed your recipe and made this shower gel . I did not have the aloe vera but I did add the honey. I live in India and I had got the lemon essential oil from online. Even after adding 8 ml to this , it smells of caustic soda, not of lemon🍋.can you please suggest something to make it smell more lemony? What about adding natural citric acid or lemon zest?

I've been using the castile soap directly on my skin lol. This recipe looks so easy to make can I dialute himalayan salt in the water instead

Is it just me, and the type of honey I use, but it seems every time I add honey to one of my beauty product, it gives it an awful smell that can't be masked, kind of like smelly socks. ☹️

Oh dear! Hmm I’ve not had that happen. But it’s not a necessary ingredient so you can just leave it out.

Hey! I do like this recipe, but when I used electric whisk. It ended up being a paste.. did I do something wrong?

Yeah I’ve never used an electric whisk to mix - perhaps it mixes it too much and then actually changes the chemical composition?
