In this weeks video I build 2 pallet wood wrapped keg walls. The concept behind these is that kegs are stored on the back side of the walls and tap handles on the front side so you can pour your own beer! I only had 2 days to build two of these things so this is a quick little project that you can easily do at home and at any scale. Enjoy!
Here is a link to the sketches for this project:

Thanks for not having music in the video,there is a growing trend to not have it blaring away in the background. Good work. Great video.I need a beer wall desperately.

A 16 gallon keg of beer weighs about 170 pounds a about half that for 8 gallon. While these are designed for in and out situations, they will last a lot longer with a 3/4” bottom. Excellent job on the design. On a different note we once converted a 2 horse trailer to a keg dispenser. Marine plywood walls with 3” of foam insulation and then sealed the wood. We placed 2 tap handles on each side. It held 15 kegs of beer and would keep the beer cold for 3 days using only 300 pounds of ice . The owner used it as a portable dispenser but for outdoor parties usually associated with the oilfield, polo matches and festivals.

What were you using to dispense the beer? Jockey box? Me and my wife are in the planning stages right now of doing something similar.

I would never have guessed that a half-inch floor screwed from the bottom would hold multiple beer kegs.

here in scotland beer kegs are 22 gallons /100 litres so when full would weigh approximately 234 pounds/106kg,

Like the build, if i was to make this i wpuld put a bar shelf on the front to hold the cups while they pour and a shelf in the back where the upper support is to hold supplies, cups ,napkins, coasters stuff like that.

I've built a lot of stuff for a rental business. These tappers look great... now. But, repeatedly transporting items like these will destroy them in a very short time. Check on them in a year and you'll most likely see that you should have put horizontal supports for the kegs to sit on, used twice as many screws (not nails) and everything should have been glued. I hope I'm wrong but only time will tell.

What length fastener for the colored panels? Did you bang over the tips on the inside? Cool job.

What is this world coming to when we can buy pallet wood at the store. Just kidding they came out great! Hope the time crunch meant more dollars in your pocket for doing a rush job on time.

There are a few options 1 keep the kegs in a cold room 2 the beer is chilled though a cooling heat exchanger on the way to the tap. The latter is more precise as beer stuck in the pipe is cooled just before it gets into the glass

I have a cordless Ryobi and Ridgid nailer . Neither sink nails . I bout both brand new and they will leave nails sticking out. Have you had any problems with yours ?
@MakeEverything

I have been using mine for like 4 years and never had a single problem. A little oil on the striking pin can help, and turning up the knob on the back to max is also helpful. If it doesnt get better id return them and get new ones.

A full keg weighs over 160lbs each, you are going to put 4 of these on unreinforced plywood? How did that work out?

looks good, but some mistakes.... NEVER use drywall screws for anything but drywall! They lack tinsil strength, and rust easily! Also, brads will pull our once the wood tries to expandes/contracts.... I do wonder if the back/inside of the cabinet looks like hellraisers head? lol. That was a lot of brads. Looks good, but prob wont last as long as if you used some glue. Overall, thumbs up!

Add in some of those foam boards and you can chill it with a box AC unit connected to an external thermostat. The extra work to do all that is maybe an hour. For me having a reinforced floor so I can do trashcans with ice would be better since I want something like this for mobile bartending at events. Look really nice having wood paneling instead of one of those frat boy hand pumps connected to a keg.
