This has to be the most accessible DIY/Woodwork channel on KZbin Phill, well done - your down to earth and frugal approach must be far more motivational for most weekend DIYers than all the aspirational channels with massive workshops decked out with fancy machinery ! This is turning into a good little series and I'm sure it will continue to attract attention long after you've moved on to other projects, it cries out for one of your edited down compilation videos at the end ! Amazing what you can achieve with what others throw away, a great lesson to all ! The only thing I'd be concerned about is the Plywood delaminating over time exposed to the weather, not sure how water resistant that stain is, could it be worth going over the edges with something like varnish to ensure it's sealed from water ?

Cheers Andy much appreciated! I do plan on making a full shed build video at the end of the series as you mentioned. The aim of these videos is to motivate people to make stuff for themselves and to use up material that would otherwise be junk. For me this way of doing things is more satisfying. The plan is that the overhang on the front of the shed should protect the door from most of the weather although I will add a coat of yacht varnish to the door also once it's been installed.

Hi Phil ,good job, I wouldn't any thing different if you put a brace on there it would have been decorative ,being from 11mm ply that is a solid door and two hinges is plenty, looks good As always a great video can't wait for the next part on the shed build. Take care

Good job 👍 Really enjoyed the build, ALWAYS good to reuse wood as much as possible. You might just want to paint the inside of the door too, as the difference between the painted and non painted side moisture level in the environment will make the plywood warp over time. Looking forward to the next video ❤️

Nice job Phil. Good use of scrap material. I think I'd have probably added bracing anyway as the weight of the door may pull the frame.down over time. That said I'm probably being a bit belt and braces there. The extra bits at top and bottom will provide some rigidity and, as you say, the door is narrower than most. Good job though.

Thanks! Yea I had the same thoughts. Hopefully it will be fine being so narrow fingers crossed.
