Awesome. I have two recommendations. Rethink that bottom brace on the door. Maybe a ramp on the inside or have the can sit on a shelf so it's easy to slide out. Maybe even put some slides in? Having to lift a heavy can up and over that could be a real difficult. And a square funnel top to prevent garbage from going outside of the can. I dont' know if they sell a plastic funnel for the top of their cans but easier to clean than wood.

Great job. The design goes well with the shelter. One suggestion would be to add a swinging door at the top to help keep the critters and flys and bees out
