After you drill your hole, change to a larger drill bit and hit the hole briefly. It will quickly deburr the hole, and also camber it slightly, making it a little easier to install the split ring. I use the spoon handle full size when I make lures for saltwater fishing. I bend it two times into an S shape which makes it swim erratically like an injured fish, and install one swivel and one treble hook like you do. A small piece of leather folded around your lure, and put into the vise is easier than fooling with the rag. A cut off wheel in your dremel will cut the spoon quicker than the hacksaw. You make nice lures.

nicholas herrero I would experiment different shapes and sizes will behave differently. What this lure is doing is imitating a wounded bait fish.
