I believe I'm the author of the comment you've mentioned. I spotted the flaw - a common one not only for hobbyists like you, but many commercial USB-C products, and wrote my initail comment. But I think I wanted to double-check with your scematics and other videos if what said was actually correct, and also look for sources to include in my comment - and deleted my comment with the intention to later re-write it in a more profound and correct way. And well, I kinda forgot to do that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm glad you still read it and have corrected the design, and I look forward to the new board working with a C-C cable

It still runs on the same speed. So its gonna be the same. However a cable should be faster than wireless.

So I opened mine and it says jds-050. Any idea of this new revision of yours can replace it?

Im 90% sure that it will fit. Ill try to find some pictures of the original jds050 board to see if i can see it.

how did you fix the issue? did you add a charge controller or something?

You just add two 5.1 k ohm resistors between cc1 and cc2 and gnd. :) Check my insta or twitter for whats coming in the next video.

can i salvage good part from broken or dead charging motherboard like caps or connecter and place them onto new usbC motherboard? or are the components different?
