DIY Volkswagen Passat CC Audi Skoda Seat VAG Strut Mount Bearing Replacement

Hello wannabe mechanics,in this episode we will replace the strut mount and the strut mount’s bearing on a Volkswagen Passat CC. Obviously it is dangerous to drive in a car with defective strut mount bearings. In addition to the safety aspect, there is an economic incentive to replace defective strut mount bearings. Over time, they will cause consequential damage to other parts of the suspension ,- and thus additional and unnecessary repair costs for the car owner.

Salutare ! Se aude un trosnit când virez stânga pe loc , este posibil ca problema sa fie din rulmentul flansei ?

Foarte posibil. Roagă pe cineva să asculte de afară . De asemenea poti suspenda masina, dai roata jos si virezi stanga-dreapta. Ar trebui să se simtă o vibrație în arc dacă ține cineva mâna pe el. Acea vibrație se transmite de la rulmentul flanșei.

Hey Aleksadars88! They have to face the driving directions of the car (forward and backwards) and if you check the position of the holes for the bolts holding the struts there is only one possible position.

Honestly, Celia , we never got it wrong so we wouldn't know. You suspect that it may have happened on your car? Did you change the strut mount recently?
