It's a good timing to leave a comment because I went to Disneyland yesterday. I totally agree with both of you that Disneyland in Japan is a place where people can feel like kids. Japanese people are relatively shy, and we don't often interact with unknown people, but Disneyland creates an atmosphere where you want to interact with others there. This is so strange, but when I was on Tom Sawyer Island yesterday, I found myself waving to people on a ship, which I don't do outside of Disneyland. I'm not sure if Disneyland created that atmosphere or we, Japanese people naturally have built it. One thing for sure is that there is an unique atmosphere where adults are kind of allowed to act like kids.
When I went to Tokyo Disney Land first time,I was shocked how artistic, fancy, vigorous effort to make fairy world. Probably it's based on Japanese sence. But I wasn’t moved any feeling When I went to Disneyland in California. The reason is how artistic and fancy and heartful TDL is!
I’m “otaku” of disney, and I think there r 3 types. who loves attractions, meeting characters, and seeing parade or shows. For me, I love seeing parade and shows, and sometimes characters like Donald Duck and Chip and Dale.
I lived in Japan for 6 years and moved to US for a couple months, i went to Universal Studio last month, and the goods there were so boring and designed so bad that I finally bought a MARIO key chain, which is made in Japan..Japan did really well designing not only the theme park surroundings but also the goods. so this is what i think why so many people like to spend money in the park.
Thank you for the video. It is really fun to listen to your conversation. My daughters love to go to Disneyland. I think they want to enjoy the atmosphere which is totally different from their daily lives. I think it feels like a trip for them. Yes, they love to buy all the things such as stuffed animals and headbands and so on.

My partner is obsessed with Disney. She become totally different person in Disney land. When my first visit to Tokyo Disney land, I realized why there are so many Japanese people like Disney. Japanese people can release themselves and be outgoing person in an imagination world not a real world, while they are always sufferd from social pressure, especially in working environment. At that time, I made sure that I will have the stock of oriental land.
Can I understand that this speed they speak is natual for native speaker?

I grew up in Brazil and there too we love Disney characters, just like in Japan, but I wonder why we don't have Uncle Scrooge here in Japan, surely for cultural reasons, Disney Japan thought that this character wouldn't be to the Japanese taste.
