With dizziness, heart, trust and control and mostly the breathing and any feeling of excitement, anger, worry, stress turns into anxiety and all these symptoms 😣 I am currently doing better than how I was but still struggling with them especially when I step into a vehicle. I’ve tried so many things that have only lessened them for a bit but I want to get rid of them and have my freedom back😢 and able to be independent and drive on my own.

I stop and look at a store and maybe one thing and try to breathe. Or I look at my phone and tell myself I’m okay. I’m safe. My daughter hugs me and tells me that I’m okay too. It helps… I feel focusing on one thing rather than the hugeness of a mall helps. I hope you find a way to help ease it too. It’s debilitating and tough. But you can get better♥️

Dizziness is the worst one for me and it’s been so bad that it keeps me sitting and getting out of shape. It even developed into POTS since I became malnourished from not wanting to move and the anxiety keeps my appetite away. I started a very low dose medication (not sharing the name since everyone is different) but it’s taking the edge off and I’m finally able to look at what is causing these symptoms for me and how I can work to retrain my brain and eventually get off the medicine. It will take time but I’m so thankful that after three years I am finally able to find one to give me a little boost to healing.

It is a dizziness that is sporadic, but, at first, I swore I had Meniere's. I have been studying, because my right leg began to swell, then both. I ditched all the foods, that were not great for the kidneys. My legs are better, but liver may have been an issue. So glad you mentioned the lack of the things you love. I am an artist, and I love to create garden areas. My goal is to make MY, NAKED WHEN I got IT, YARD, The Secret Garden...and it is getting there. Ii can work until dark, and love every minute. RE: the dizziness, it worries me because it sometimes pulls my body to one side. If I have time to journal, I may figure it out.

I had dizziness and lightheadedness for a few months, went to the doctor and was diagnosed with low iron; however, not low enough to cause dizziness so my mind went to catastrophic illnesses. Hi Dennis, and thank you for another useful piece of advice for our anxiety journey. I struggle with many different anxiety symptoms most of them being heart related, like palpitations, chest/upper stomach tightness, pounding heart feeling, the anxiety feeling symptom as you described it perfectly, some sleeping issues which lead to sleep anxiety etc. The number one most severe symptom which when occurs I cannot manage is a near fainting/blurred vision/lightheadedness feeling, as if my blood pressure or glocuse levels have dipped. The thing is my heart rate at that moment drops below 60 and I have established a logical connection between low heart rate and that specific feeling. The most proper way to describe this is a panic attack with resting/low heart rate. I do cardio workouts regularl(4-5) times/week, mainly jump roping workouts. This usually lasts less than an hour, especially if I engage in breathing techniques and happens out of the blue nearly every time, most of the time when I am relaxed. However, it may leave an ambient, much milder version of that feeling for the rest of the day. I want to know if anyone else experiences such symptoms.
@arqhomes5097 Жыл бұрын
Hi Mario I totally relate to this right now! did Dennis give you any advice on those symptoms?
@mariospolitis2711 Жыл бұрын
@@arqhomes5097@@arqhomes5097 Hi there! It has been a long journey since then. Many ups and downs. Dennis has offered tremendous help with his deeply explanatory videos on how anxiety and anxiety feelings/sensations emerge. I have not found a lot of documentation on those specific symptoms. And that made my health anxiety linger, because I could not be convinced of a connection between anxiety and such symptoms. But after some sessions with my therapist, I searched for freeze/collapse anxiety response and came across some sites/blogs that described this exact symptoms that occur with collapse anxiety response like near fainting sensation, low heart rate,cold body, lightheadedness etc. I am afraid I cannot post the link to that specific text here but you will certainly find it. This was a turn around point for those symptoms: I established a connection and the symptoms started to go away and I can confidently say that I am now at a point where that symptom has become so so rare, nearly vanished. However, other symptoms such as palpitations and heart pounding feeling dominated, but I was already in a position where I had my worst symptom connected to anxiety, so I knew I could continue with other symptoms. I would describe it as starting to peel the hardest layer (colapse symptom) and then going forward layer by layer. I would like to highlight that I started to take care of myself more by exercising, healthy diet, diffusion techniques like morning yoga, jump rope and focusing on having fun more rather than waking up everyday and getting anxious about getting anxious (best advice I got from Dennis' videos). Try not to fight your symptoms and let them overwhelm you. Try to do things despite your symptoms, whenever that is possible. Also, what helps tremendously is doing things that bring out your creative side..For me, it was focusing more on my work as a web developer, as well as trying new footwork techniques for my jump rope workouts. I know it can feel extremely difficult at times, but trust me, it is totally possible to overcome it all. You can do it, wish you all the best!

@mariospolitis2711 I've been having the exact same symptoms! I've had anxiety before but this came out of nowhere, I didn't even feel anxious but in random times of the day I just feel like light headed, like my blood pressure drops or glucose drops completely and of course I get scared. It's a horrible feeling. Today me and my family were at a restaurant and I was ok, had a horrible tension headache all day but I was happily eating, when all of a sudden it hit me. It's so frustrating, I went to the ER last weekend and they did and EKG and came back normal. I'm trying to accept it and not freak out and let it pass. But its definitely scary as I feel like I may be having some heart issues or something. Thank you for posting about collapse anxiety, I couldn't find much about it but I'll keep looking!
@mariospolitis2711 Жыл бұрын
@@thaliaroper1042Hello Thalia! If you are concerned about your symptoms I recommend you go get all the tests done, in order to exclude any health issues. And after that, you will be able to focus clearly on the mental side of your symptoms. I want you to remember that anxiety symptoms/sensations can totally occur without you feeling anxious at that time. In fact, my major panic attacks emerged after some time of prolonged stressful period and while I was in a relaxed state. The main reason this happens is because there exists a phase difference between mind and body. So you can feel anxious now and symptoms may emerge in two weeks for example. This is also true vice versa. In addition, these kinds of symptoms are like mini panic attacks with decreased heart rate and as we know, panic attacks do come out of nowhere a lot of the time. Furthermore, I would also recommend seeing a therapist. For me it has been a tremendous tool to pinpoint why those symptoms emerge by backtracking until I get to the root. For example, I had most of mine during work whenever I would not feel very productive, and my therapist helped me find out that they were connected to a period where I was stuck for a long time during my thesis, which gave me a sense of resentment for my thesis project and indeed made me feel totally non productive. Concerning collapse anxiety response, it is a defense mechanism that exists everywhere in nature. Remember how many prey play dead as a last ditch trick in order to get away from predators? This is exactly what our body does in order to protect us from what we perceive as dangerous, even if sometimes it is difficult to understand exactly what caused it, because you know, there is not a tiger in front of us trying to eat us. Google: "vsmiththerapy freeze collapse response" and you will see a result entitled 'Understanding our freeze & collapse trauma responses'. Wish you the best with your journey!

I now live in the nordic woods of Sweden and post about self improvement after surviving a great ordeal in life, from the Boston bombing attack to being homeless, depressed struggling with an anxiety disorder and other mental disorders before I studied my pain and got certified in therapy. I used it to heal and run my own business and also move out of Miami where I worked in a corner store overnight in one of the most dangerous hoods in Miami. I am so grateful I got out, because I knew the other route, and it was not going to end well. I hope I get to help at least one person reading this, I just started uploading weekly videos on KZbin as well 🙏🏽💜

It lead to me googling my symptoms, which I shouldn't do, and it made me so much worse in the last month where I had to call off of work for this past week and I've been so scared to leave my house on the slight chance that I won't feel well. I've started to go to therapy for help and have been listening to meditations before I go to sleep or whenever I feel my anxiety flares up and it helps tremendously :) my main symptom I've been feeling is dizziness and I know the more anxious I am the worse I feel it. Then I stress I have to take something then I’ll really never be able to sleep again. 😢 All of this usual makes my mind start to go all over the place and I fear I’m dying. But it goes away after awhile when I’m away from everything and everyone and I can relax. I worry most about not being here for my 3 young boys and wife. I have recently become very overwhelmed by everything and stumbling upon these videos have helped some. I went through this last year and never fully recovered but was much better than it recently hit me again. I have massive worry about my health. I feel alone and I’m scared a lot.

These videos bring so much peace to my mind. I’ve been struggling with constant unsteadiness/dizziness for about 4 months now and even after medical tests came back normal I still have felt so much anxiety about this scary symptom. Will it ever go away? Am I actually okay medically? But hearing you talk about it and explain it and give tips about it calms my nerves almost more than anything. Thank you for all you do! I will overcome this one day!

Again another incredible video, thank you so so much. I can resonate with all the symptoms you mentioned in some way, some more than others especially the aches and the anxiety ones. I was in an emotionally abusive marriage and whilst having had anxiety for a number of years I began to ache more and more as time went on and would need to see an osteopath for this thinking it was something wrong with my back but after a couple of months I'd be back there again. Anyway this went on until my marriage ended. It was only after 6 months I realised I had not needed to go back again and haven't been since. Now 11 years later I still havent been back. So what I'm saying is, not only wasnt I receiving the love from him but also the love from myself. I have only just recently begun to really experience how to love myself, in the non egotistical sense of course. I accept myself but I'm not adverse to recognising the things that I'm a bit unhappy with and working to change them but in a loving way with patience not in a forceful, you have to do it quick, now or people won't like you kind of way. I used to do that so much. With regards to the anxiety and what Louise Hay says.....wow!! That is so true, it's like so many times things have happened that weren't very nice but I think what's crucial is how close together negative, traumatic experiences occur in someones life because we are quite resilient us humans dealing with traumas but pile them up then something has to happen to get all that emotion out and that's inevitably anxiety. That's where your trust in the flow of life diminishes because the mind is so overwhelmed. This is why having learned this through reading and talking and listening to your videos and podcasts I now understand that patience in healing anxiety is the golden key to ending that suffering. It's very easy to be impatient when the suffering has gone on for so long but it's like the Chinese finger trap analogy, the more you fight the longer you'll be trapped for, ease up, be kind and patient to yourself and you're released from its grip. Anyway Dennis, I've loved listening and making notes this morning I'm off to let that sink in whilst I get on with my day. Hope you have a lovely day too ❤

Yes!!!! I don’t trust the process of life! 😵💫😵💫😵💫 feel so discombobulated with scattered thoughts. Even though I don’t get panic attacks anymore, some days it’s very difficult to focus on what people are saying. Some days I swear people are speaking a different language. Nothing computes. I thought I kicked anxiety to the curb. But it surfaces in different ways in realizing.

Dear Dennis, thank you so much for another useful video at the right time. I had several bad situations last year, including a car crash, and even though I made great progress as far as anxiety is concerned in September last year, an accident and periods of emotional uncertainties unfortanutely set me back. In December I had period of sick leave which lasted for a month. I struggled with all the symptoms you mentioned and even some new symtpoms appeared which I didn' t have before. My problem number , one apart from chronic fatigue, is muscle twitching. So if you could give us some tips about overcoming this symptom, I' d be very thankful. Now I' m getting back on track and I returned to work. One thing is for sure. If it wasn' t of your tips, I' d end up in a hospital. Like many of your followers I hear your voice and your tips in critical situations and follow your instructions. I' ve learnt a lot during these process. And I believe that I' ll be healed inspite of those set backs. God bless you ❤🙏

My anxiety almost gone from mind but muscle tension is always there which causes pinched nerves and pain radiating everywhere. With higher anxiety levels twitches start. Espescially in my left calf but i know i have lower back disc hernitation that helps anxiety to make my calf twitch.. sometimes i feel twitch here and there but it's all connected to anxiety levels and ways how you use your muscles. Also posture is very important when you have some spine problems or tensed shoulders. Best wishes! You are more than anxiety!

I have noticed that when my neck and shoulders are tight then it compresses the right bloodflow to brain somehow and that causes dizzy/off balance feeling. Also holding breath can cause dizziness, so all these little harmless things combined make us feel bad and that cause more anxiety and panicky situations. Everything is good actually, just accept these things, take deep breaths daily and get massage or heat bags to your tensed shoulders.. it helps me a lot.

Yup that has worked before in the past. I remember I stopped thinking about it and it went away so fast like it was never even there in the first place. But you have to be mentally strong to be capable to do that because it's easier said than done for sure. I give myself a lot of tasks during the day so that I don't have to think about anxiety and that has helped me a whole lot. I have an app where I give myself so many tasks to do and I check them off once I'm done with them, that works!!!
