I have a question. What I understand from your videos is that we should surrender to our anxiety and not resist it. Wouldnt doing these things a form of resistance or fighting against it to make them go away?

Dennis went from having horrible anxiety to now fully understanding the mechanics of it, so he's not just on here telling you his symptoms and what he went through. He's on here giving us the answers we need to get ourselves out of this fight or flight mode. He has done the anxiety thing, came out of it, then did the research on how anxiety works, and gives the best solutions. Dennis, I'm certain you have brought so many to the other side of this. Your experience and words are so valuable! Thank you for everything you do! 👏

Yes. Neuroplasticity. Walk backwards, use your non dominate hand as you eat, brush your teeth, drive a different route to work, school, the store, etc. Learn a different language, or sign language. Keep the brain active and distracted on different things

I struggled with anxiety and OCD from the age of 11 and when I was 18 I started “rebelling” against my anxiety. I did the opposite of whatever my ocd was telling me to do and it was liberating and I got over it for so long. Now I’m in my 30’s and my anxiety has been taking over the last couple of years and I can’t find the strength to fight against it this time

Denis, I listen to these videos over and over. For hours. Reason being when I feel anxious I kind of lose my brain a bit and start worrying about why etc…the tools you give me honestly fall out of my panicking head a bit. So I listen till I can almost quote you word by word. I’m hoping to make your tools my default..not spiraling.

Dennis, I felt I was being criticized😅 when I was on your anxiety warriors Facebook page and I commented about a feeling and I got a reply private from the administrator that said we're not supposed to say anything about symptoms and that it was breaking the rules. I was not aware that was one of the rules and I felt very hurt that he said maybe this isn't the group for you. 😅 His reply put me into more anxiety... Being tactful is everything. Also, it brought up my childhood thing of never racing my hand and sharing even though I was one of the smartest in all my classes

Great video Dennis I really love the idea of deliberately making mistakes and not being so judgmental about it. I’m going to be doing or trying that along with being in a space and pausing visualization and speaking more slowly I do have a big fear about death or fear of others, death and pain when I’ve done so far, sometimes I sit and Research, and I found some interesting things that in the Buddhist language, and monks have said about death, which creates a space for my lower self to be less fearful
