How many Miliiwatts does the DJI Goggle operate on? 25mw, 200mw,500mw? it appears the 5.8ghz channels are the same as analog signal Frequencies from what i have seen. might be a good test to see if it affects any one else flying analog. just a thought

Today the FPV game is forever changed. Whether DJI is the end all be all answer is yet to be seen. Others will jump on board, DJI will continue to update as the product is adapted. This is a God send for frame designers, they will undoubtedly come up with DJI friendly designs, that equates to increased sales. I'm not jumping yet, but likely will as it ages.

My understanding from the documentation is that if you only use the video receiver it is in audience mode which has lower range but it will work. I could be wrong on this though.
@Ferdigrapher5 жыл бұрын
@StingersSwarm: The reason why your sides were a bit blurry/pixelate is that you had Focus mode turned on all the time. It keeps the bitrate higher in the middle section and loses bitrate on the sides. It is beneficial if you fly in environments with lots of details (like forests). If you turn Focus mode of you have the same picture quality on the whole picture.

Can you verify you can output video to a broadcast system? From the specs the "broadcast mode" only outputs to other goggles, not a digital output like an HDMI you can output to a TV or other broadcast display. I've searched and searched for an answer but have come up with nothing on confirmation that it can actually broadcast to publicly viewable systems rather than just other goggles.

You noticed the fuzziness of the image edge during signal loss. I actually had an idea over a year ago for a poor signal compensation algorithm. It would couple the gyro readings with the receiver RSSI to take the last known good image and perform pan and zoom operations while filling in the new frame data with the raw feed. Something like that requires a GPU to operate. If the innards contain GPU hardware, then that sort of post processing is probably happening in the backround at near real time speeds. DJI definitely did some good here. This would have the drawback of moving objects holding still while this processing occurs which could be pretty terrible depending on where you're flying. This would probably take as much computer power as a high end phone.

Some of the framerate and side graininess is from heat issues and the system "throttling down" frame rate and quality....essential that the quads themselves need to be re-designed so that the VTX receives cooling on all six sides of the VTX cube.
