Great tear-down, as always :D For the chat...Pin cushioning is based on if you have one, and push it in, it gives the same effect. It's not stretching the corners out, it pushing the middle in.
@RFC3514Ай бұрын
If the middle of your pin cushion is getting deformed simply by pushing a pin into it... your pins need sharpening.😁 I suspect the name actually comes from the shape of traditional pincushions (where the top / bottom / sides bend inwards, if you look at them from above ), not from how they react to actually having a pin pushed into them (which will generally cause no noticeable deformation, assuming the pin is sharp and the fabric of the pin cushion is appropriate).

Mine did the exact same bootloop when i turned them on. I plugged them to my phone, and the goggles then booted up.

That reboot loop may have been fixable by unplugging and replugging the battery... except they use fake plugs on the N3. 😁

Thanks for the video man! Great tear down as always! I saw your short where they were trapped in a boot loop, did that issue get resolved? The display is good. Curious, would you go with these or the Goggles L?

Is it possible to hook up the ribbon cable from the pcb to a external monitor? Or the picture will be a small square? It’s for a crazy project 🤣

as looking inside of old DJI V2s just thinking is there any option to do upgrade display from 1440 x 810 to full hd like on G2 ? or is there more problems about it ?
@eme4289Ай бұрын
That would be amazing. V2’s would be great with a 1080p display, hdmi input, and low latency analog input. Or even the g2,s integras, or 3’s.

What does "Pin-Cushioning" mean?
@MadRCАй бұрын
Pin-cushioning is a type of image distortion that causes straight lines to curve inward, like a pin pushed into a pincushion. It's most commonly seen in wide-angle lenses, especially at the edges of the frame. Causes of Pin-Cushioning: * Lens design: Some lenses, particularly wide-angle lenses, are more prone to pin-cushioning due to their optical design. * Aperture: Stopping down the aperture can sometimes reduce the severity of pin-cushioning. * Sensor position: Slight misalignment of the image sensor can contribute to pin-cushioning. Effects of Pin-Cushioning: * Distorted lines: Straight lines, especially at the edges of the frame, appear curved inward. * Reduced image sharpness: Pin-cushioning can slightly reduce image sharpness, especially at the corners. * Unnatural appearance: The overall image can look distorted and unnatural. Correcting Pin-Cushioning: * Lens correction: Some lenses have built-in correction profiles that can automatically reduce pin-cushioning. * Post-processing: Software like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom can be used to correct pin-cushioning using lens correction profiles or manual adjustments. * Choosing a better lens: Using a lens with less pin-cushioning distortion can help avoid the problem altogether. Additional Considerations: * Barrel distortion: The opposite of pin-cushioning, barrel distortion causes straight lines to curve outward. * Vignetting: This is a reduction in image brightness towards the corners of the frame. * Chromatic aberration: This is a color fringing effect that can occur at the edges of the frame. By understanding the causes and effects of pin-cushioning, you can take steps to minimize its impact on your images and achieve better results.
