I really love this walk and comparison. I got my Pocket 3 in the mail and took it to Hiroshima. I haven’t edit the footage and uploaded it yet, but I bought it mostly to go for steady walks on a backpack clip. Your video is very encouraging. I’m a happy owner of a Pocket 3 since a couple of weeks and I’m anxious to see the Sun coming back in Belgium for more Nice filming opportunities, but my first tests give me the conviction I’ll enjoy usine it. One thing I noticed when filming in a Little concert of a choral is that it’s not a good idee to use the zoom and that it would-be be better to film in 4K and crop in 1080p. Happy new Year to you.

Thank you so much! Yeah, I used the DJI Action 4 LUT they provide free and then did some minor color correcting. I notice that D-Log and their LUT doesn't have enough Saturation, so I usually will bump that up a bit and bring down the Black levels too. love the Pocket 3 & the 1 inch sensor. Biggest issue I have is that with street walks in busy areas the continuous focus keeps on shifting abruptly. This makes a lot of the footage unusable. With action cams you don't have this problem. This could be sorted with a firmware upgrade from DJI which allows for 'infinity' focus to be set.

Hello, thank you for the compliment. I do not have the shutter speed bumped up. I was recording in 1080P 60FPS, 1/125, Manual Mode, F1.8 11mm Sony Lens, Active stabilization turned on and attached to a selfie stick. I also used a variable ND filter and recorded in HLG. I should have spent more time color-correcting it though. Thank you for the feedback and support of the channel!

I’m using the pocket 3 in Hawaii. The fireworks didn’t come out as cleanly as expected but the rest of my video footage is nice I really wish I planned to have the action 4 for snorkeling

I am VERY sorry you lost your friend. Pocket 3 settings you are using makes the Action 4 picture look better. What do you think? Sony camera looks clearly the best & should, more info on the full frame sensor, bigger lens, more light, even YOUR footage has no shakes (nice job). Please do not take this the wrong way since that is not my intention. I do not think I have ever seen so many people make videos about a product as the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. The small form factor and great quality from such a small package is a breath of fresh air. I think the Pocket 3 and Action 4 complement each other. Hello Greg, do you mean the backpack mount doesn't have the ability to swivel or adjust? If so, that should still be okay if you are using the Pocket 3 or Action 4. If you have Horizon balancing on Action 4, it will keep it balanced and the gimbal on the Pocket 3 will keep it horizon balanced as well.

This is the first sample footage among dozens of camera comparison videos i've seen which action4 looks actually much better and bright. Maybe it's because the filter you've chosen for osmo pocket 3 or settings. I wanna buy a camera for travel which i'm gonna make to Paris in June. I narrowed my choices down to three cameras. Insta360 x4, dji active4 and dji pocket 3. I wanna go with active 4 for more durability and wheatherproof design but all footages i've seen of active4 are way too dark in comparison with pocket 3 except the footages on your youtube video.

Yeah, the Action 4 does have the tendency to not be as bright. If you can only choose one of the 3, I would suggest either the Insta360 x4 or the Dji Action 4 if you want better durability. I haven't used the X4, but seems to be getting rave reviews.

Your Pocket 3 is backward. Shouldn't the screen be facing you instead of facing away from you?

Hmmmm....This particular adaptor only gave the the ability to face it outward. However, I just had the screen turn off automatically in 30 seconds so it wasn't a big deal for me to have it facing forward. I also ensured I had horizontal recording as well. I believe other cases offer the ability to have it face you. Either way it did work, so I'm happy with the result. Good observation though!
