I have the pocket 3 and action 4 enjoying both 😊 using my action 4 for running and more brighter conditions. Pocket 3 for everything else. Looking at the Sony i get tempted aswell 😅 but feels littlebit to much for me right now. Great content, you got yourself a new SUB here.

Honestly, the Sony ZV E-10 looks great, but I know it will be a heavy setup since you are already juggling hands. Pocket 3 would be the perfect camera for logging hands down. Can't wait for your video from your Trip! Have Fun.

Yeah, Pocket 3 I think is the way to go, but mirrorless cameras still have their place!

Pocket 3 for me. Small, not extremely expensive, produces great video quality and has a gimbal included. The Sony may have a bit better image quality, but I can't justify buying it due to the price, size, and additional gimbal/lens purchases. Pocket 3 does a great job coming in with great features, quality, and functionality at an affordable price in comparison to the Sony & other similar cameras. It's great for me at the level I'm at now. . . still learning & a hobbyist. Thanks for the video. I dont mind other people around me at all. The people who act/say bad things are most likely unhappy people in general. Regardless, their opinion means just as much to me after I see/hear them as it did before, when I never even knew they existed.

@@TravelingAhn that's funny. Each video I see your subs grow. I know from experience that subscriber growth is difficult because us small KZbinrs get drowned out by the already established, large Channels. But, I truly believe it's like building a snowball. At first when starting, you're rolling a small ball and the growth of that ball is small in comparison to the work you're doing or the quality (roundness) of the ball. Then, once you get it going, the weight of the ball pushes more snow into itself and the growth is much more for the work you put into it. Also, the quality (roundness) of the ball plays a much larger role at this point because if a side falls off and you end up with it being flat on one side, you're going to need to fix that before you can efficiently push it so that it grows even more. This even applies at the larger end of things. Pushing a million subscriber ball might also be difficult as a larger ball will fall apart more and require more attention to the quality of the roundness.

Love the content and your attitude. New subscriber won! I have the Pocket 3 and Ace Pro. Having been a GoPro user for decades, I’ve now ditched them; they are too far behind the pack. Obviously, the Pocket 3 cannot match my Canon R5 or R3, but I have to say, I’m blown away by the quality that comes out of such a tiny camera, especially in low light. It’s in a different league from the GoPro (I know the P3 is not an action cam, but the truth is most of us are not habitually throwing ourselves off mountains…) From my perspective, the IQ is also better than the Action 4 (though I am a huge DJI fan) and is just better than the Ace Pro. Both the A4 and Ace Pro are well ahead of the GoPro H12.

Wow, thank you so so much for the feedback. Yeah, I feel like GoPro is definitely lagging behind I do like some of the features of the Ace pro, but being within the DJI, Family, and the DJI mic 2 working with the action, for there would be really no reason to go with Ace, pro for me. The pocket three definitely packs of pretty powerful punch for its size! Thank you for the subscription, and supporting the channel!

I had Pocket gen 1 a few years backI stopped using OP1. When OP3 came out, I thought may be a waste of money after understanding the spec especially the 1" sensor, bluetooth connectivity, rotating screen, portrait footage, etc. Just went to Seoul and Jeju Island with it. OMG, all the footages are usable. Night videos at the night market are sharp and clear. I am about colour grading them, using DLog-M with DJI provided LUTs, I am sure it will be great. Keep doing what you are doing. Forget about the haters. Don't let them win mate.

All great tools, I use the Action 4 for biking trails and the pocket 3 for walking trails. That and a 360 (x3) camera, drone (M3P), & iPhone 15 Pro Max with Moment lenses for my videos.

I got the action 4. I'm quite happy with it. I have the exact same setup like u. I mounted it to my backpack most of the time and I also got the iSteady Pro 4 for night shoot. I put a Ulanzi VL30 on the gimbal just in case I need a fill light for the face in a very dark situation. I like the action 4 more because of the external battery.

The ZV-E10 looks awesome, and the Pocket 3 looks great as well. I have a GoPro 11, and looks atrocious when the scene gets dim. Not to mention the fixed focal length. The pocket 3 can really push a good image. I'm definitely sold on it when the opportunity arises. I would've went ZV-E10 myself, but they don't offer English menus in Japan 🤣 I've got the Nikon Z30 though, which is pretty great in its own right. Anyways, thanks for all the footage. Wow, thanks for the thoughtful feedback! Yeah, I was surprised how well the ZV-E10 footage turned out, especially recording in 1080p. But I do love the small form factor of the pocket three for sure glad that this video helped! Thank you for supporting the channel! When I was last in Japan, I bought the lens I used for the Sony, and I heard about the fact that the menus are all in Japanese.

The best thing about davinci studio, is the voice isolation and also the way it analyses your video and gives you text back saves so much time. You can scan a 40 min video and put up a timeline in 5 min

For me the Pocket. The Action 3&4 are great, but your shots were doing something strange on the neon lights and also a bit dark. I know that I would leave the Sony at home. I did recently buy a Sony S7 ? for my Grandson for his college work and of course it does knock spots off the DJI, but in general, price convenience and still producing great footage, the DJI's are my choice. Blank out the negatives, just realise they are the sad lot, who are not adding anything except criticism. If you check them out, no videos or just content about tattoo parlours or war games. Thanks Dave, yeah...I'm really wanting to pack light, so I'll likely leave the Sony behind. But, the picture quality is much better than anything I have currently. Maybe just bring the body and one lens (hahaha). Not decided yet. But yeah, I agree with your thoughts for sure!

Another great test Ahn. Do you think that on the Action 4, if you keep the shutter at 200-8000 while lowering down to 1600WB would help with the jitters? Also I heard that on the Pocket 3, the normal color profile handles exposure better than D-Log, have you experienced that too?

Yeah, I've seen the normal color profile perform better in exposure as well! I don't usually record in normal, but that's a good reminder. I'm not sure about the micro jitters...I think the only way to avoid that at night is to use a Gimbal.

Yeah, I turned off all stabilization and used the gimbal, so I could get the widest focal length.

Hi Adam! First, I think you just sold me on the Camera Crisis LUT because the ZV-E10 colors looked great here. I have it downloaded but have been using the Leeming LUT which is much more difficult to use. I do think it's a little underexposed though, so maybe there's a little tweak that could help compensate for that. Maybe bring up the shadows or set exposure to +0.3. I think the ZV-E10 might be able to go higher than 1600 ISO as well but we would have to experiment a little more. The Pocket 3 looked great as well. I wouldn't use the Action 4 in low light though. You could add a gimbal but if you have the Pocket 3, there's no reason. The ZV-E10 looks so good when it's pointed at you for a vlog and the Pocket 3 looks so good when pointed outward. Maybe the ideal setup for the ultimate walking vlog is to do what you just did minus the Action 4 (at night) and just go back and forth while you're talking as like a second camera angle. That would be pretty dope for a walking, tour-style vlog! Or, just go Pocket 3.

Tim, you hit the nail on the head (hahaha). I totally agree that the Sony ZV-E10 is so good with the "talking head" angle! It makes me lament that I likely won't be bringing it with me on the trip. But yeah, I totally agree! For actual non-testing vlog, the Pocket 3 and the Sony ZV-E10 filmed simultaneously could be the new thing (hahaha). But yeah, I like the Camera Crisis Lut cause you don't have to get the Exposure perfect! I did my rookie level tweaking on the color-grading to get the Sony to match the Pocket 3 and Action 4 colors the best I could. But yeah, I agree the Sony was a bit dark. Your suggestions are good! Yeah Adam, very good video , it's a good idea to write the settings of the cameras, so it's almost the same settings in day time and night time? The pocket 3 is just amazing at night! I filmed everything in 1080p/25fps on my last travel in my France, everything on auto mode, I think I will not have in my next vlog a such beautiful image than you have in day time , we will see :) Have a nice travel Adam, I know where you are going and be sure that every followers will be curious to see these images! :) Friendly. Thanks Michael, yeah...probably the same settings are not the best for day and night, but just wanted to try it out. Yeah, the Pocket 3 definitely packs a lot of features in such a little package! Looking forward to seeing your video's. I also recorded in Auto during the daytime on my first full day! For vlogging, it seems "Auto" is the easiest way to do it without ND filters and worrying about it. I'll hopefully get something posted soon. Traveling and editing is way more difficult than I had anticipated! (hahaha)

Helllo, May I please know can we transfer our videos from pocket 3 to iphone 13 using lightning to type C cable which comes with iphone 13 (just simply copy the videos from pocket 3 and paste to iphone 13 without the use of internet) ?

To my knowledge you are not able to transfer via cable, but you are able to connect to mimo app and transfer without needing internet

In some cases I'll use just single focus and tap in the center. But in this situation I had it on continuous focus.

No, you do not have to purchase the separately sold charger. Any charger will work, but will charge faster with a larger watt charger up to 65w.

I either use my portable chargers or the ones that have 5 ports on them. Sorry, I don't really have any dedicated charger for the Pocket 3.

I agree Ahn, there is nothing wrong with videoing (someone once told me it's not cool to say 'filming' anymore!), when walking about! Certainly thousands- maybe tens of thousands? Millions, even?...do it every day in major cities around the world, with all manner of cameras and phones, etc. But I have to admit one humorous thing, whilst filming in London on my second trip there (from Toronto) in 2019. I had not noticed at the time, but when I was reviewing footage later back in Toronto, I noticed a stalky, tough-looking (what used to be called a 'butch broad') woman giving me the finger, as I approached! I was not even aiming at her, nor had I even noticed her! I was just holding my Lumix LX100 on my Zhiyun Crane M2 gimbal, letting it film (oops, 'record') whatever was in my path! Here's another way of looking at it... If we can't film (video!) what's in front of us as we walk- people or otherwise, then maybe we shouldn't even look at each other, if privacy is that important! That would be interesting... everybody walking around with their eyes closed! Anyway, today I received my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator kit, and look very forward to using it. I enjoy your videos!

Actually, for my third trip to London (I love that place!) hopefully sometime in Autumn, I was originally going to take my Sony a7C as my main camera, with a Weebill S gimbal. But I was dreading the weight of that setup. However, I will instead, bring the Pocket 3, as well as an Insta360 X3 and an Insta360 Go 3. Actually, the original reason I bought the Go 3 was because during the last time I was in London, I was fascinated at how long the escalators were, going up from the tube to the surface. But (speaking of people being self-conscious, especially people on crowded escalators looking a little worn, and perhaps touchy during rush hour), I wondered if there might be a little camera that existed that wouldn't be very noticeable. So, the Go 3 is just for those moments. Better still, I got one of the 'black' Go 3s- even less noticeable! And the X3 will just be for some overhead 360 video high above my head, walking down Regent Street or wherever. For Tokyo, you definitely want to bring your mirrorless camera too! That seems to be a photographers dream location 😂 We live in a good time period where we can document and remember our memories with our cameras!
