I know it's even more obscure but Magius's tower from the legend of Huma was always really cool/intriguing. I also really wanted to know more about f Wyrmfather. Anyway, awesome video, thanks for sharing 😊

I’m reading the new trilogy right now and man I love how they fleshed out Magius’ character more in it and his relationship with Raistlin in it. Love his character.
@DLSaga6 ай бұрын
I just wish they would have taken care to use the existing references for the character rather than completely recreating him.

Thank you for making this, Adam. We fans devour this stuff. I love the interactions between Kaz and Magius. Richard Knaak must have had fun writing them into scenes together.

Red robes? I think i remember something about the white robes ultimately achieving the most power, the black robes learning the fastet and the red robes having access to the most spells. Plus i like Lunitari.

Good choice. Lunitari is pretty cool.

I really enjoyed this video. Magius and Kaz are, at times, central figures in Huma's story. Huma may likely be the name the reader shall remember most, but as Adam notes in his wonderful narration, Magius intercedes on Huma's behalf at critical narrative junctures - the vignettes that we read as canonical Krynnish mythos. Magius, in his darkest moment, when death was before him, found a way to reach Huma with a vision of those torturous final steps of his mortal journey, thus revealing the magically hidden lair of Galan Dracos. And who but Kaz, for none else was near enough even to consider Huma's request, could have completed the dire bargain - only by a minotaur's mighty hands was the Lance of Huma pulled from Takhisis. Only by the combined courage of three very different souls were the evil dragons and horses of the Dark Queen sent away, if but for briefest draught of solace. Krynn found no lasting peace as a result of Magius's, Huma's, and Kaz's heroic convictions and strong hearts; but the weal and woe of what followed, as inevitable as any fate, could in no way diminish the actions - verily taken within and against a milieu of purest evil - the actions sublime a brilliant sorcerer, an honest knight, and a thoughtful minotaur. I recommend watching Adam's wonderful videos on Huma and Kaz, as well as reading Kaz the Minotaur and The Legend of Huma, both by Richard Knaak. Thank you a million times over, Adam! I value this content as I would a ring of protection.

Interesting he went black-red-white making him a mirror of Raistlin who went white-red-black (although he only wore white BEFORE the test)

Are you sure Raistlin wore white robes? I don't believe i've ever read of Raistlin wearing white robes? If I remember correctly, he started in Red robes then passed on to black robes.

@@echoplanet2000 It was when he was in mage school. You wear the color of your instructor I believe was the justification.

Magius is my all time favorite wizard. He could have cut and ran when he had the chance but he didn’t. Because of his sacrifice the Gods allowed wizards of high sorcery to carry daggers. I’d definitely wear the white robes.

Which Order would I be a part of? Easy. I have always been seeking balance in life, in every possible way and meaning. And ever since I first read the Chronicles Trilogy and Soulforge after that, I had always felt most kinship with the Red Robes. Hence why they are my favorite Order. They, as well as the whole IDEA of the Three Orders themselves - members of the Orders are bound to no rules, except loyalty to the Magic itself. Much like Nuitari, Solinari and Lunitari are.

I would of absolutely would of devoted my self to Mishakal as only a monk could while practicing as a bard petitioning Gilean with all my roguish charm as the owner & operator of The Golden Mirage. A traveling & settled alike INN. Definitely practicing as only a lover & a fighter too would as I go. Studying the arcane & seeking tutoring as I traveled. Essentially alleviating the three orders of the strain at all yet not affiliated. Sadly spending most of my time correcting those seeking the black moon at first I am sure considering the fact that Nuitari is actually neutral Good.......🤸...

Great video. I was always disappointed in Magius. He was propped up but in the end, after reading the legend of Huma, I read him as underwhelming. I think he was a tool, but not of the mages or of the pantheon. He was just a tool. :P That's just my opinion :)

Lol, it’s all good. He didn’t do anything of significance in the novel. All of his greatness happened before it. And then, it was just implied. He didn’t even sacrifice himself, he got caught.
