The engine is running fine, but it seems that you can close a little bit the low end (or idle needle) to improve the transition from low to high RPM. I look forward to see the engine running again with the HP original muffler. Thanks for sharing the video.

wow, did I see 11,600 on FAI fuel, that's more than my OS 61FX would do on 15% with that 12x6 APC, and that engine's port timing is some 30 years older than my OS

You were running it a bit leaner than normal towards the end of the video .. By the way, in my opinion, these egines are the "Porche" of the 60's engines back in the day of the FSR engines. Outstanding engines .. Excellent video ..

I bought a used 3d flyer that came with this engine, needless to say no compression at all. it is worth replacing the cylinder insert with new piston vs. buying another motor????

Steel cilinder. Aluminium piston. A new piston ring could give it a new leach of life... Use of castor oil saves a lot of metal. It can even freeze the piston ring solid... and compression is gone. Good cleaning could help, loosening the ring with greatest care. But when the crank surface (con-rod bearing surface) has become 'square'... than it is at the end of it's life... Crankshafts wear out too :-( Carburetors are great, so safe-keep those!
