What keeps a Poly relationship working is the TRUST AND CONSENT game! I've heard of MANY Open relationships collapsing because a partner did what the Rogue did here and straight up cheat! It's the reason why "if the partner suggests it out the blue, it's time to END the relationship" saying goes around, because ALOT of these incidents ended up being TRUE, the partner DID cheat first and wanted to make it "Legit" by furthering the lie! It's rare for the opening to NOT HAVE MOTIVES TO WANTING IT OPENED! The ones I found that work is BOTH partners were aware and agreed TOGETHER because "no deception, no coming out of right field with it" TRUTH and Trust!

You 100% HAVE to tell your partner you're polyamorous. They have to be okay with it on their end and there needs to be knowledge it's going on in order for it to work. A relationship like that is built on good communication and trust from both sides, THIS however was cheating and Rogue is just a selfish person in general who uses that as an excuse! That doesn't mean Ranger doesn't get out of it scott free, you have to talk to the person who's supposedly your friend to confirm they're actually ok and aware of it, it's common sense and responsibility to your friends. Rogue sounds like one of those types who likes the idea of poly relationships, but isn't prepared for the level of honesty and communication that making them work requires (which is frequently more than in mono). Polyamory requires complete honesty on BOTH sides. BOTH people in it have to be 100% okay with other people being brought into the relationship. Take it from someone that went through almost the exact thing paladin went through (yes, even the "friends" pretending that it isn't happening): When you are in that situation the world feels blurry, not only did your current life change immediately, but you start to question your past aswell. Your mind cannot simply go from loving and caring for someone to randomly hating them. It's like a huge nauseating trip, the only constant feeling you have is despair. & when you see your friends pretending not to see it you start to think you're the one in the wrong, you are the crazy one. Its been 2 years, trauma stayed, but I came to find out that you cannot renounce love. Passion comes and goes, love stays. Doesn't mean you have to like the person, it just means I gave her something of mine that was precious and it will NEVER come back.

Differentiating between polyamory and cheating is very easy. Polyamory is when your partner communicates to you that they're attracted to someone else as well as you and are thinking about forming a bond with that person. Cheating is when you are surprised to find out about a full-fledged relationship after it's already begun. Definitions for cheating are somewhat flexible but here I'm using the one that requires an actual relationship. Not flirting or moves towards a relationship but the actual relationship itself. The difference is whether your partner respects you enough to inform you about what's going on with them so you can both be adults and make decisions that best suit you. If they don't, they're lying to you and taking away that choice. You might still fight or break up either way.

Dnd hooked me with fantasy lore and social story telling it dropped me by being all about fast math and math in general. Does anyone find it sad that paladin in this story got the worst outcome and lost everything here? Cheating should be taking seorulsy as more and more evidence of this shows it can cause ptsd and any other metal illness forming out. Ya death threats are not ok however I stand on my saying that if you cheat, expect the most unpredicble outcome when it comes to the person your dating. I read supernova and black hole revenge stories on how far a person will go when expressing how hurt they are when getting cheated on.
