I have had hereditary dark circles and the MAC Prep and Prime bright forecast is the ONLY thing on the planet that both covers my dark circles and provides a shot of hydration too. I use Pat McGrath concealer over the top. Then a little bit of Pat McGrath powder under the eyes. They've earned a permanent place in my ride or die product line.

Gemma, it was great to watch you going back to your old favourites. I love your honesty…and excitement! I stopped wearing makeup over 5 years ago but since watching your KZbin videos I am now cautiously trying out new makeup. Your recommendations have been invaluable as I had forgotten what products to buy. I have mature skin but it’s in very good condition as I’ve been using ‘Skin + Me’. This has sorted out my texture and pigmentation issues and I’m hopeful that this treatment will help with some of my fine lines once I’m further into my treatment plan. I also love that you explain what brushes you’re using as I’m trying to build up a collection of new brushes too. 😀 xx

That blush!!! The L’Oreal shade is perfect on you and you should def wear it more often! I started giggling when you did. I am currently in love with the NARS baby pink blush, with a tiny bit of highlighter (Cle de Peau limited edition). above and a tiny bit of bronzer underneath (NARS Laguna). I smiled big when it actually looked so nice on me. I am learning all your tricks….thank you Gemma.

I bought the RMCA powder back in the day when it was hyped up. Hated everything about it made my skin feel like the Sahara desert i use the L’Oréal peach blush all the time. I love it

This was so much fun to watch Gemma! I've yet to catch up on previous videos still, however this notification popped up so I gave it a view. Yes I still use the RCMA powder though not as often & still have my original. Like you said, there is a lot of product! The concealer is okay in some areas of my undereyes & other places drying I think because my skin has changed. Haven't used it much in a long time except if I may run to the market real quick & want a bit of blending on no makeup days. Never had the eye pallet but it looks beautiful. Now I want to get into my stash of cosmetics & reuse some I've forgotten about! Lol I remember you raving about these products all the time so it was fun to see you be excited about re-addressing all of these! I still have my P Louise original too as I use it & the UD eye primer alternating w/ a little going a long way. It covers the blue veins on my translucent eyelids brilliantly! Now I've got to go back into the Born This Way & use it more because it is a really excellent product. The bronzer by Hoola is lovely & I use it in summer only very lightly, but I've found their "light" shade on Ulta & that is so PERFECT w/my fair skin. You may like that shade better. Thank you for these blast from the past & you look absolutely beautiful in all after you changed your concealer. I'm hooked on the Pat McGrath undereye setting powder. The Laura Mercier I had as a sample & don't use really, but may again. Still loving NYX brow always & enjoy the ELF mascara too though I love both the LM Caviar & Too Faced Better Than Sex. Great video Gemma :) I have a few beloved favorites that I use often, the others don't seem to get the attention that they deserve anymore, Lol I usually mark the products that I'm using with the dates on them. I think the Peach shade of blush on you is very nice :) I haven't tried the ELF mascara, I think I will since it seems to get many reviews. Take care everyone

Big message here. When a beauty video repeats history and product is still great - after years, it’s a trustworthy video and no one paid the host to say it’s great to make money. I still like RCMA, the eye shadow palette, the Nyx for brows, and P. Louise eye primer. Trustworthy is what your are.

I don’t think you have to worry about mineral eyeshadow as I don’t think they go bad, but other products on the eyes yes you must pay attention. I was glad to see you use a pallet you already had. I think I am over purchasing new pallets as I just got the new WG and it is great, but now I am done! Thanks 😊

Ooo I’m going to get out my Mac Bright Forcast today! I shopped my stash yesterday and pulled out the Boots Hydraluminous foundation, still love it. The Nyx born to glow never agreed with my oily skin, sank into my pores and left a polka dot effect, that one had to go!! You look gorgeous with your old favourites!❤️

I started using NYX because of you Gemma! I still love their eyeshadow and mascara. You are responsible for the bulging make-up drawer🤣🤷‍♀️. TBH you needed more coverage under your eyes back in the day. I remember commenting on how the dark circles had improved over time.

I think of you every time I see the Born to Glow foundation. Love the idea of shopping the back of the stash. Hi Gemma, Can you please make a video about make up routine for sensitive skin? Unfortunately, wearing foundation for two or more days in a row will make my skin quite irritated - wearing it on daily base is a wishful thinking, even with good skincare routine and always clean make up tools. I never liked the boing concealer but the lancome one, yes its great for mixing with other more creamy/heavy concealers...i have this bad luck with buying dark concealers 🙈🤷‍♀️ so i bouhgt the lightest shade of the Lancome one and can use with every formula 😅

I find the new Lancôme concealer to be drying-I think I’ll try mixing with others that are too emollient for the rest of my skin. Lancôme DOES make good products. I just feel I like the older concealer Tiente Idole Ultra Wear in the little squeeze tube.

Shame you didn't use the Charlotte tilbury mascara as that was your first video I watched just as that mascara was released (then went back and watched all the rest you'd done) love seeing all these products again. Also that lip crayon is my go to lip product now. Looks the same on me as pillow talk lipstick

Oh my gosh .. I had to laugh as I recently got out some older eye makeup and gave myself an eye infection 😝. I knew better but did it anyway . Today I am back on track and I have replaced anything I haven’t used in a year ( which maybe too old also but geez makeup is expensive)

Hi Gemma I think it's a good idea to encourage people to use older favourites. This beauty community by it's nature is all about the new new new, but those who don't create content don't need every new palette released. Most normal consumers use makeup they have had for a while and revisit older palettes etc. I'm very selective in what I buy - due to the fact makeup does expire and budget constraints. I need my products to work for me and colour stories to be something i'll get a lot of use from - making them worth the money to me. Many of the items I do buy are higher end, but I consider carefully whether it is too similar to something I already have before purchasing. I also need my makeup to last all day without a lot of fussing and often some higher end products do perform better (not always obviously and I do buy specific more affordable items that just work). Despite skincare/makeup being something I use everyday, I try not to overbuy (which creates waste etc). Compared to perhaps many viewers I have a very curated collection and nothing I don't use - if it doesn't really work for me I give it away to friends etc. This is what works for ME and obviously each to their own.
