Matt Weiss has a really smart mind for Mixing, very intelligent, and he seems like a down to the heart genuine person.

@@panorama_mastering That's dope, he and yourself are some of the very few that actually provide great quality information and mind sets about Audio.

Your channel has helped me to start focusing on lots of small details during mastering that i was paying no attention to before. Really loving those videos and appriciate you leaving the "failed master" in it just helps to show that sometimes you gotta go back and tweak things again to make the song as best as possible. Thanks for that and keep it up with those videos.

You, Dan, Joe, and Matt are my favs to learn more from! I've been using your fundamental frequency comp approach with the TDR mastering comp by the way. Very clever my guy. Very clever.

Great video as always. Love the style, technical with the creative side. The biggest boosts for me were sitting in a mastering studio. Yes they have massive mastering monitors costing 10a of thousands, but they also check on a cheap portable speaker. Question why is I think the bit of gold that’s been missing from a lot of pro videos over the years always showing you how but never really why. I think it’s because when I was learning alongside some top mixers to them they don’t think about it, so I had to just feel it with them, but they are always asking why, trying something and only committing if it does what they want.

Thanks mate! How VS Why. Spot on! Yeap; the reality of being in sessions is that things get broken all the time; (Regarding processors you're trying out) and you need to switch it up;

Nice insights about this matter... by the way, what about a deep review of the Maselec plugin by Relab? Would be happy to see your impressions about this EQ monster.

Thanks, Pere! I'm shying away from "Deep Reviews" like I used to do. I'm still onboarding NFR liscences from companies, but seeking out opporunities to integrate genuine discussions about the plugins which ACTUALLY make it to my everyday use in the studio.

I bought online courses and after "graduation" Taylor Swift, Beyonce AND Ed Sheeran were ringing my phone off the hook (yes, I still have a business landline) DEMANDING I work on their next singles. Thanks, MWTM!

Hey man, please separate your live mastering videos from the topic videos. Both are great but when I click a video with a certain title I expect the video to be about that title and not be twice as long with another completely different video in it.. It really prevents me and probably many others from watching your videos since I just don't have that extra time to watch 2 in 1 videos..

These paid for courses are far superior than most sources online, as you get to effectively shadow the engineer; like an apprentice would! You not only learn the tools and techniques behind the engineer, but you really can gain a comprehensive understanding of methods. Paying for courses/information is always worth it, particularly in regards to BOOKS - especially when starting off!!! But also as an advanced engineer with a Bachelor of Arts (with First Class Honours) in Digital Music, in addition to a Masters of Science in Applied Acoustics, I STILL learn all of the time via courses - most particularly, Mix with the Masters. But if I have to be honest, it's necessary for you to gain some clientele in order to practice these techniques and better identify gaps in knowledge. It could even be not directly related to the subject, so for example, business, accounting etc...

Yeap; all valid sources of information; but ultimately you're right; practice and repetitions is what converts knowledge into real value;
