When Drew and the crew get it done, they get it done right! I'm serious too Drew. I would love for you guys to do my floors and windows if you're ever heading up this way again. You didn't like them at all. The overhang that you made for the roof definitely makes a difference as far as not letting any water come down the walls of the mobile home from the outside. I loved how you didn't just rush into getting it done. When you did my roof you went over it you assessed it you were very thoughtful in how to proceed because I had that foam board under the other roof. You are professional and easy to talk to you addressed questions which I really appreciated and you all will personable. You treated me like family when you did the roof can't say that about many contractors.

Thank you so much for all your kind words. It means a lot to me in my group. I wish I could come there and do your windows and floors. But windows and floors take a lot of time. My crew would be there for 2 weeks. If I lived there. I would be there but your house is 14 hrs drive from here. And as far as family you are family now. All my customers are family to me. I am happy you like the job we did and I’m glad you still follow my youtube channel. I have to measure windows and then order and that can take weeks now with all the stuff that’s going around right now. A lot of places are half staff. Windows are taking two weeks longer to get. Not to mention the prices of everything going up so much it’s not even funny. Gas food lodging. @@Drewsroofingandhomerepair Thanks Drew. I understand. I wasn't thinking that far ahead We have a mobile home supply distributor in the area and I called them to see if there was anyone that they knew of because you can't even buy from them unless you're a contractor. @@Drewsroofingandhomerepair that's ok, I can Google it. I just wanted to check with ya 😊 it's vinyl siding, it was originally on the trailer to begin with but my husband reinforced, put new plywood I geuss you call it, on the exterior. Our trailer is rather old, and was empty for 2 or 3 years before we bought it so we just fix things as we go, or as we can afford. But now, the siding needs to be put back but my husband is a mechanic, not a carpenter so he's just looking for a video to reference the best way to put the siding back on. The people that originally helped are no longer available, so it's just a learning process for us now. Still come back to your videos though, its nice to know that other people care about fixing up old trailers ❤️

that almost looks like something my uncle would do. except he would cut a sheet up into 8 random sized pieces and make a puzzle. he got to my floor before i could get a chance to do it. so i took his keys to the house away. he ran the boards the wrong way. there was no cross support so those tiny boards he cut would of sank in. the smallest board was 5 inches wide and only ran between 2 joist. i could have stomped and put a hole in the floor. i have to square up the cut in the floor and get 3 new sheets to fix it right.
@Drewsroofingandhomerepair Жыл бұрын
I know exactly what you’re talking about. I have seen so many people do that they just don’t know. But I would have to be ran the correct way or it just won’t work. And doing a little square here in a little square there is never good in my opinion.

Not only is it not level. The rim joist is rotten and tweaking the entire frame. My guess. I am by far not an expert. Just fixing my own newly acquired mobile. And seen how one section of rim joint that's rotten has literally twisted everything from roof seams to joists.

@Drewsroofingandhomerepair Жыл бұрын
Whoever did that floor used hard wood it comes in a can. It’s powder you mix it with water into a paste. By the way, I do it when I’m finished there shouldn’t be any cracks like that. So if you’re putting down a new floor there shouldn’t be any cracks whoever did the floor did a lousy job, therefore they had a lot of cracks. I went in there just to remove all that and replace it with a new.
@slappychap969 Жыл бұрын
You will never ever get the correct window frame. You need to make sure you specifically say a rimmed window. And after fifteen trips to get the basic measure corrected yet again. Just make the whole bigger and reframe for an in stock window. Trust me

SPACKLE! cause that wont be a prob when it gets wet again. lol REGARDLESS of how you repair the subfloor, IF you get another leak, you HAVE to take up the new floor covering anyhow, just cause you replace entire sub, doesnt make it magical against water it STILL could have to be replaced in the future, NOT as fast as the CRAP MDF the manufacture used, and to "do that properly" would require removing interior and exterior walls, especially if there was a window leak
