I want everyone to be able to overcome the fear of things going on in your bottom end! But sometimes, it starts by knowing that your doctor has the experience and knowledge. What do you think?

Yes. Which is really difficult to do and difficult to get someone with a good experience in curing hemmrhoids so far I haven't met anyone who has had a successful surgery or healing from hemmrhoids. Most people who comment on this page complain of incomplete treatment or continue to suffer from the condition even after a surgery. Scary!!!

I hope you succeed on lifting the veil on this very important health issue. So many people don't think at all about their eliminatory health until they face an emergency situation. That can lead to worse outcomes and more stigma. Thank you for taking the time to educate us! You have a great "bedside manner" too. Thank you for making these videos; I didn't know where to go so I went to my PC thinking I had hemorrhoids again; sense pain and bleeding for 8 months now; I finally went to the point I have to see a Dr; he referred me to a general surgeon; so he examined me and conclusion I have a Anal fistula; he was very good and explained to me he need it to exam me and make me feel better and trust him; he explained all my symptoms, now I was referred to a Proctologist I believe he told me is better someone with experience; I was worry because during exam he was careful but soon felt pain he stop; it makes so much better knowing prior visit what to expect. Thank you again

Yes, they are the same. Proctologist is an older word and Colorectal is the newer and modern term.

Hi Dr. Chung, Thank you for this information. I’m in major pain, and have not felt well for over 2 weeks. I have gone to an urgent walk-in clinic and family dr., yesterday. I don’t want to have to go to the hospital (I cannot sit) if I must go, at least I can ask these questions you spoke of in this video. I just fear being told they can’t find what is wrong. I also know how to speak up and will speak up immediately. Nobody in the medical profession can or will bully me in doing anything . I am in charge. Not the medical profession . Sometimes they forget who is in charge they think it’s them !! Lol they will find out with me who is in charge really quickly the moment they enter the room !!
