avoid all Russian bars and gogos on WS. Like a plague. They're all clip joints. On my last trip I decided to satiate my curiosity with a 400 baht heineken in one of these places. I sat down and the most rough looking woman in the joint soon approached. About two sentences of dialogue later, she asks for a drink. I say no. She then demands I pay her. (for what?) I refuse. This goes on for a little while. At one point she moved the candle aside on the table, and hidden behind it is a tiny sign that basically says you have to pay the woman for sitting. At this point I'm getting annoyed, and tell her to go away. She says why are you in here if you're not going to give money away. Sounds like the only thing that's different now is they put the drink prices up by another 300 bahts.

Lol, no, you don’t have to pay. Just tell her to go away. Funny nobody knows these bars. I do. Go in, pick a girl sitting on the sofa, ask for a private show. Do it fast, no need for the 400 baht Heineken :). Still pricey though.

Coming back to pattaya 6FEB 1- I AGREE 100% regarding mama-san from experience. 2- Russian gogo bars are NO NO for me from experience last one was in DEC 2023. 3- windmill gogo bar is a good option - shower scene is nice - met a handsome owner or manager tall man he was nice to costumers and continue to be nice even after I left the GOGO. I saw him outside later. 4- I think because I had enough of gogo bars my main goal now to find few nice beer bars with nice staff. 5. DON'T forget bars and gogo bars - especially- in walking street don't expect you to come back again - -because of experience-.

Exotic appeal varies a lot depending on where you come from. These russian Bars obviously cater for the Japanese, the Korean and other affluent Asian ethnicities. Even if some of these customers might be shocked about the price tag, they will save face and enjoy (?!) the 1 time experience.

There's a lot of our soviet comrades in Phuket. My mate and I are Australian. We were constantly warned not to go into R ussian bars when we visited in March 2023. While we where there an Indian man decided to dispute his bill and had the absolute shit kicked out of him. You would see white skinned comrades totting for business. Covered in gang style tattoos. They looked like the villains out of a John Wick movie.

When I started traveling to Asia for business in the early 90s, I was amazed how many Russian girls were working the streets in Ittawan Seoul. I did enquire and was told many Korean executives go for them. What they used to do is take their earnings, buy a lot of knockoff goods and clothing, and would sell them when they returned to Russia.

My experience at a Russian, Gogo Club back in 2017-2018 was sensational fun. It was pricy but was worth every bit because the Russian girl I took stayed with me for 24 hours and was fun to do whatever I liked which cost me almost 900 USD when I barfine her in her club 😅

I went to one Russian gogo on Walking Street when I was in Pattaya last July. There was only one girl dancing, a few others around. One approached me and I asked how much the beers were - she produced a price list and the cheapest was 300 baht (obviously cheaper in July because it's low season). I said no thanks and walked out.

300 baht was also what I paid for a beer in a Russian go go during high season. Obviously too much for Thailand, but the dancer was more professional and entertaining to watch. It's a shame they can't show the Thai ladies how to dance, but I guess it's all about putting as many girls on stage as possible.

Im Russian and try to explain. They dont want to talk with you because 1. You are stranger 2. Every girl knows what a stranger men at a resort wants from her. And either she is not interested in such acquaintances, or she simply does not like you. 3. The fact that you are American can rarely be a reason not to talk to you, but Americans are not very liked in Russia, so I cannot rule out such a reason.

Daz while I was in Lisbon three months ago I googled strip clubs and only two or three popped up so I went to the one that seemed like the most popular. Huge mistake it ended being a Russian club like you describe and almost the exact same set up. The prices were outrageous! The girls would all run the same game and ask for a drink when they sat down and would ask you for a bottle of champagne 😂 Which was priced at $400 USD. Then if you said no would then ask for the next most expensive drink which was around $160-$180 USD. For one drink! Of course there was no ST/LT so your basically paying a mortgage payment for mediocre conversation. The girls were on the younger side and good looking but definitely not worth the price they were asking. Needless to say I laughed and told them no thank you and just went to a regular bar.

Thanks Daz for video, it must be said that going to Thailand to meet Slavic women is somehow stupid because in the clubs it is notoriously a scam, outside the club they charge more than in their country of origin (around 4000 bath or 5000 of the hour for the most acceptable) and the non-professionals are often in couples or families, waste of time! just go to Georgia or Armenia (in the Caucasus) and there you can meet lots of them without spending so much! For example, Batumi in Georgia on the edge of the Black Sea is an essential place to easily meet pretty women, young people who go to Thailand waste their time there because in Georgia and Armenia it is very easy to meet young women... Thailand is a paradise for retirees in my opinion, especially not for young singles.

I have one lady who translates and offers advice. She asks for nothing in return. Thats a good friend. She knows me well and she is genuine with her help.

It's no different here in the west, in Australia, in regards to FB or any other scammers. I was scammed out of $7500 for a dodgy second hand car on FB Marketplace, and the police did nothing, tole me there are no consumer to consumer laws in place to protect against scammers. I was told 'tough luck. let the buyer beware" wherever I turned for help. It's better in Thailand, because when you get scammed in Thailand, you get taken for much less.

Depends on what you compare them with. Compared to Australia, a joke, but wonderful compared to some places in Indonesia. I've swam there for years and never caught anything. Water is best now in the low season when there's not too much storm water and effluent flowing into the water, generally untreated. If you want a real , clean beach go to Koh Larn!

I made the mistake of going into the Russian nightclub on Walking Street on the far end near the Bali Hai pier. Full of drunk twenty somethings and shady older looking Russian men and what I am assuming are their wives. I ordered a drink which cost 300 baht which was ridiculous to start. After that I paid my bill with a 1000 baht note. I received 200 back in change. I tried to tell the Russian waitress she made a mistake to which she waved her hand at me dismissively. At that point I decided not to push the issue further and left. Avoid it. The Russian club on the left hand side at the far end of walking street. Avoid it like the plague.

Went into a Russian Bar in Walking Street late last year, just curious and to kill sometime as was waiting for a Friend to finish his foot massage outside. I had one and only Beer at 600BHT, was a Russian Beer and about a 700ml bottle. Got the price list, Western prices for sure, I could get a Russian Girl back home for similar. I was introduced to several Ladies who were Topless and offered a private two song dance for like 2000Baht or 3000Baht with some touching, only one on stage also. Anyway finished the beer and got the hell out of there, wont be back.

Two comments: 1. In Thailand, the Wai is generally directed by a younger person or person of lower social status towards a person of higher high social status. However, in other Buddhist cultures (i.e. Tibetan, Japan, etc.) the Wai (or more commonly called Namaste or Gasho in Japanese) is widely used and means thank you , hello, goodbye, pleased to meet you, etc. etc. Thus, you can see why there is confusion. 2. Touching of the head in Thailand. You can, but only if you know that person INTIMATELY. It is really no different in Europe / North America. And, this is important!!! Never touch a person's forehead (the location of the Brow Chakra) and the top of a person's head (the location of the Crown Chakra). 3. Bare legs and bare arms. Do not enter business offices, temples or any formal facilities with bare arms and bare legs. It is insulting. And, do not point a bare foot (especially the bottom of the foot) at a Thai person or, particularly, at the Buddha. 4. Pointing your finger, as we do in the West, is insulting to Thai people. Most important, never point a finger at the Buddha or a picture of the King.

Rather, in Asia and all Buddhist temples / meditation centers (everywhere), it is customary to point with all fingers together and the palm up like you are making a presentation. The position of the hands is important. Higher up based on the social status and age of the person you’re speaking with.

If a large number of visitors would stop supporting this kind of activity, it would be less likely to gain a foothold. Your report about the Russian clubs amused me a lot and confirmed my prejudices 100%. Hands off! Thanks for that. Surprisingly, you mentioned all the expensive places on Wong Amat with the exception of the Bamboo Beach Cafe at 19:00, the most romantic beach cafe in Pattaya. Very nice, good food and cocktails, sometimes fire shows in the evening, muted music. The service there isn't that great, but everything is half price or less. Hello Daz, in Sweden the prices are like you describe here, 6000 SEK for 2 hours, or around 515 Euro! And for 1 hour, from 215 Euro to 260 Euro.

Hey Daz, Me and 2 friends were at Pattaya on 22nd Jan 2024…There is one Russion place called DEJAVU almost in the end of walking street which has Russian dancers. You need to buy a Beer which was costing 270 Thai Baht for a Pint. There were 7 girls in mid 20s pole dancing one after other and they strip and become topless. After their dance they come to each table asking for tips and they have a board which says minimum tip is 100 Thai Baht. Girls were very good looking. We had good time spent 45 mins seeing at least 6 girls semi naked

There are a couple of my favourite bars in Pattaya where I have always found the mama-san to be quite reasonable people. As for Russian bars you couldn’t pay me to set foot in one.

Beats me why anyone would go to Thailand and look for a Russian girl. Go to Prague or any other East European country and you will be spoilt for choice.

Quick question that has been on my mind. I see 20 year old 40 kg 1500 short time and I see 50 year old 2 kids 80kg for 1500 short time. What am I missing? Why do people chose the older, or less attractive? It’s a genuine question. Thank you.

My last visit was 2017 and I will visit again at the end of June. I’ve seen the main area change over the past 2 decades and appreciate your up to date local knowledge. Interestingly I’ve never been in a GC before, but due to your videos I’ll visit GCs in the afternoon instead of Soi 6 this trip. Once again thank you for your email.

You should go to Maggie May on Soi Pothole in the afternoon, but then at 7pm go to Heaven Above on Soi Boomerang near the hospital on Soi Buakhao.

here is what I can offer to this in Japan and in Korea the mama-san's are very helpful, in the P.I. and Thailand not so much Edit: if those eastern European girls are wanting Vegas prices is crazy, I will just fly to Bulgaria or Romania for the same quality ladies but much less expensive

Yeah I went to one in January 2023 and after every dance it was “ tip “ “ tip “ now ! Hard sell bro . But I have to say they knew how to dance / strip . Skills . I knew what time it was . Taking one home I already knew it would be astronomical so I did not even ask …..
