Moisture is the key. I see "natural hair" girls on KZbin with their hair falling out. They think the "protective style" will save their hair. No, your hair needs mositure. Stop handling your hair the lazy way. Listen to this channel for correct hair knowledge.

I'm finding this out today! 😢 again! I had some braids on as a protective style and it dried my hair out! N my hair looked sad when I undid the synthetic hair. The issue is I cannot cornrow my own hair tho I keep trying.... sigh.
@lindsaychrisharmony Жыл бұрын
@@myhair_issafoodie9191 It's the "hard truth". I encourage you to keep trying... you'll soon get a hang of it. They say practice makes perfect...and it's true. I didn't know how to make hair when I started having babies...but you see...I even though I wasn't "Natural" at the time, I still wasn't ready to leave my babies' hairs in the hands of some braider. Each time I tried it with my first daughter, she'll end up will boils around her edges and nape...one day my Hubby was so furious we had to take down the hair the same day it was made...she had reaction all around her head...she was fine again only when we took it down. Since then I decided to do their hair myself...anyhow...I was going to keep trying...I kept practicing and look at us today 😊. So I encourage you to keep learning...I know you've got this😊

Agreed I am a natural black American women I went natural for 8 years and my hair is down my back long as it has ever been in my life . Moisture and not being lazy got me on my routine it would take me 3 to 4 hours to deep condition, wash, rinse , and moisturize.

I've watched some of your videos and thoroughly enjoy the education that you're passing on. Your daughters hair is beautiful just like yours. So true about consistency. Living in U S.A. we used what was available and had healthy hair. My mom only used shampoo, regular rinse out conditioners and hair grease, that's it. I always had a head full of hair and long. Now because of chronic pain I don't take care of my hair like I use to and it's telling on me. It's still long but, I'm losing density due to dehydration because of going longer between wash days and not moisturizing. Well, for the 1st time in a long time, last month for 3 consecutive weeks I washed my hair and I only used a leave-in conditioner afterwards and had very little hair shed with the last 2 wash days. More than anything, hair needs that hydration on a regular basis. For sometime now I've been telling myself that I have to wash and condition it one day, and the next day moisturize and style it but, I never get back to it until I wash it again. Watching hair videos do motivate me, so along with prayer, I'm gonna start watching on a regular basis again to give me a push and get my scalp and hair back to a healthy state. I'm so grateful for your videos because it reminds me of how I use to care for my hair. Although I have always loved styling my hair, I enjoyed putting care into it more than anything. Thank you so much for making these videos. I will subscribe now. Peace and blessings! ❤

Yess and i started doing that braiding the root then twisting the rest along with a quick scalp Massage weekly sometimes twice a week my hair is soft , fine, and frizzy . i keep my scalp clean also with rose water especially when i workout . i changed my eating habits too. i use a spray mixture, oil, then butter for ends only . i pinned my ends up. I sleep on a satin pillow case along with satin caps at night, i wear wigs for now when i go out but at home nothing i let my hair breathe . i do trim my ends very often because they were damaged but once i have then under control i now only do it as needed when i have split ends, thinning ends , and fairy knots. My hair is starting to grow back and looks healthy , i use a steamer most times to get that deep condition. i am glad i saw your video let's me know i am on the right track the things you do i do also.

It all depends on your hair's needs..also depends on your environment/weather. So try once a week, twice a week and see how your hair responds. For the 2nd time you do it in a week, you may not need to take down each twist if that's a lot of work. You can remoisturise as they are. You know your hair better than anyone...so with time you'll be able to understand how much remoisturising your hair needs per week. I hope this helps
