How have receding gums impacted your life and what have you tried to help prevent them getting worse or to fix them?

Recession made my mouth very sensitive and I hate how I look long in the tooth

have you considered gum grafts or pinhole gum surgery or are you using a sensitive toothpaste?

The front of my bottom gums started receding, it was slow until I somehow chipped off the bottom of my tooth. Now everything's sensitive and getting worse faster. I finally have an appointment with a local dentist, but I'm still terrified of the pain I feel coming
@arthurhill294 ай бұрын
@EvolveDentalHealing I had a consultation with the dentist and an annual physical in the same week, 3 weeks ago. I am a pre-diabetic. My diet has changed. But i left the sugary drinks alone way before and slowed down drastically on fried foods. I thought once the gum bleeding stopped, I was cured from gum disease, wrong. It got worse right during the lockdown with the pandemic. Now, I've had fake caps in my front two teeth for years. 30 years, to be exact. With about 3 different replacements during those 30 years. As a youth, I smoked marijuana and had close to poor hygiene and knowledge about keeping good oral hygiene health, but maybe the dentist messed my mouth up with these caps and rods contributing towards this 'now severe gum disease that I own. The dentist want to take out all but 3 of my upper teeth. Is it worth it is what I ask? 30k I don't have and may not ever.

@HRBuddy376 my prayers 🙏🏽🥺 I feel the same way, like a monster for me. I'm just grateful my wife is still with me. For the past almost 3 weeks, I've been oil pulling , mouth washing after every food or drink, flossing, bland brushing. My water intake is now 3.5 liters a day. My diet is whole grains , vegetables, strawberries, and blueberries. Exercise is 30 mins, and I take D3 and K2 droplets in my water twice a day. I just need to invest in xylitol mints and a oral probiotics and continue asking God to reverse this horrible disease that is eating away my gum line.

Found your KZbin and Spotify channels a little too late unfortunately! Found out I have gum disease with bone loss in Jan, getting treatment and since then looking everywhere for information on it, and I can honestly say your Channels are probably the most informative I have come across . Thank you

Thanks great video. I try to eat healthy, lots of what you mentioned and the vitamins. My downfall is too much chocolate on occasion, working on that! 😁

Sounds like you're doing pretty well with your diet. Often we crave sugar to release feel-good hormones, especially when it comes to chocolate so I often exercise or walk or play with my dogs to make sure I use that to boost my mood rather than turning to sugary things.

Thank you for the information. Have you witnessed people with pocketing close the pocketing using hygiene techniques and not surgical techniques such as scraping and root planing?

gums will not heal while there is plaque and calculus (tartar) buildup present. These methods work best in conjunction with professional care.

Thank you for your advice. I wanted to ask how much vitamin c should someone be taking with gum recession?
@EvolveDentalHealing7 ай бұрын
the amount needed will vary per individual if the gums are receded but free of active disease i.e. no bleeding or inflammation then 500mg to 1g per day may be enough. With active disease then up to 3g or more especially during periodontal treatment. You can do a vitamin C challenge to see how much your body needs. bloom.health/how-to-do-a-vitamin-c-bowel-flush/

I love your info it sounds very helpfull but I would prefer personally to eat more toward a whole food plant based diet with Greens, beans, whole grains, seeds ( omega3 Rich) , onions, mushrooms, fruits, berries ….. I wonder whether that might be as effective? I hope so 😊🙏🎵🍀🎶💚

It depends on what your goals are - for dental health, it has been shown that diets with animal proteins and fats are beneficial in providing the nutrients - vitamins and minerals our teeth and gums need to be healthy and robust. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHyqc4x8qK2UfKM&ab_channel=EvolveDentalHealing

I love lemon & lime on my watermelon & in my drinks… would it be ok if I use xylitol straight after ❤
@EvolveDentalHealing5 ай бұрын
xylitol will combat sugar but not so much acidity so you may not get decay but it will not stop you from eroding your enamel as those drinks are very acidic.

Alcohol consumption can have a negative impact on your gums and contribute to gum recession: Alcohol can disrupt the balance of bacteria in your mouth, leading to an overgrowth of bad bacteria. This can cause inflammation and irritation of the gums, which can eventually lead to gum recession . Alcohol weakens your immune system, making it harder for your body to fight off infection. This can make you more susceptible to gum disease, which is a major cause of gum recession. Alcohol can cause dry mouth, which reduces the amount of saliva in your mouth. Saliva helps to wash away food particles and bacteria, and it also contains important minerals that help to protect your teeth and gums. When your mouth is dry, you are more likely to develop cavities and gum disease. Heavy alcohol consumption can lead to deficiencies in vitamins and minerals that are important for oral health, such as vitamin C and vitamin B complex. These deficiencies can also contribute to gum disease and gum recession.
