There are incredible healthy choices of tooth pastes. Stay away from the mainstream brands. They are all garbage. Look up Pur03 ozonated oil? Weston Price was one of my favorites for leading me to better nutrition. He said that introducing grains into the diet led to tooth decay unless they are properly prepared (soaked, sprouted, fermented, etc.) In general people don’t eat this way anymore. There’s also a lot of evidence seed oils have a negative impact when animal fats have a positive impact. The only non-animal fats positively studied were palm and coconut oils.

Haven’t used deodorant for over a year now, nor showered, my wife tells me I smell good, all of my seasonal skin rashes etc have also completely disappeared 😎, now over a year carnivore. We also live in a warmer climate, pong just isn’t an issue any more. As for my teeth, well, I’m a 60’s child, who also had a lot of antibiotics tetracycline based, so extreme teeth staining and maybe and seemingly also made my teeth very decay prone, but that could also have been poor mouth hygiene and lots of sweets, either way my teeth where ruined over the years. That said after being on keto for 18 months and carnivore for over a year I recently went to my dentist for a clean after 2 and a half year absence because of Covid etc and he asked me if I had been cleaned by another dentist, he said it like they have just been cleaned, and he knows from past visits that unless I had a clean every 6 months, the plaque buildup was usually extreme. So low to zero carb has also improved my plaque problem, I also haven’t used toothpaste in over a year, just brush and floss after each meal.

I am a carnivore now for nearly two years. I do not agree with you about tooth paste. I always used Paradontax tooth paste, a tooth paste with baking soda in it and with this tooth paste I always had dental plaque. Until I got the knowledge that baking soda is dysrupting the microbioom of the mouth and that it is a healthy microbioom that is protecting our teeth from decay. For a year now I switched my paradontax for a tooth oil and brush with that and that with the same brush technic as with the paradontax. I did not change that. Even though I took good care of my teeth (brushed at least twice daily), by the time I was 30, I had to get dentures due to gingivitis. ( most likely contributors, I had been a smoker, standard diet, and a sweet tooth.) Many years later, I noticed a drastic difference when cleaning dentures since changing to carnivore diet. When I clean my dentures, there's practically nothing to clean off! Before carnivore, the cleaning was a nasty job of foods, whitish film, build up of tartar and plaque. No more need to scrub and brush off build up of tartar and plaque , or even bits of food, which was always there prior to this diet change. That tells me that if you have your natural teeth, you would benefit from carnivore diet. Wish I knew that all those years ago.

@FlawyClipsАй бұрын
Its good for the gums, but it won't whiten your teeth. The yellow tint on your teeth either comes from the enemal or simply gunk on its outer surface, if you practice good oral care and brush your teeth after consuming sodas or coffee you can rule out that the issue is anything on the outside, a yellow tone is probably your natural enemal color.. The solution? Go see a dentist and get a professional whitening process or whitening strips. Oil pulling wont help you, it cannot penetrate your enemal and lighten its color

Technically, it can. It depends on how your diet is structured. If you arent eating things like organ meats that have vitamin C you may become deficient over time and get classic scurvy. Much like how vegans that dont supplement B12 eventually develop anemia. All diets can have shortfalls that can cause health problems. My previous diet I thought was as healthy as it could possibly be, but discovered that my lack of eggs (allergy) and avoidance of fatty fish meant that I was getting basically zero vitamin D. Due to my frequent activity in the sun I stayed out of the "deficiency" range, but was still below the normal reference range and it affected some of my other health markers.

We need protein and fats to repair our tissues and cells. I read an interesting article on pubmed about this also.

Is it common to see animals in the wild with cavities? Here’s a somewhat silly question: Why don’t animals in the wild brush or floss their teeth? Is it because animals are eating their proper diet for their bodies where they produce powerful mouth and gut bacteria that keep their mouth, gums, saliva and teeth healthy and packed with good minerals!? Is this why zoos warn not to feed animals our poisonous human junk “food!?” Hell yah! So, if humans are eating their proper human diet (carnivore) and noticing incredible improvements to oral health after a year of carnivore, is it necessary to brush one’s teeth?
