I can’t say I understand this exactly but I get the idea of how sometimes we just stop doing things and pick them back up.

This popped out on my reccomended feed, wasn't subscribed, never saw anything But this video, not even 3 minutes long resonated deeply within me I hope I see more good things from you, but also, take your time Sometimes we stop, and just... freeze over, and that's okay, we need time to just exist, not force ourselves even if we used to and still love to do what we do, we are humans in the end, we need stimulation, we need to see that sometimes our brain chemistry just fails us too And pauses can be short, can be long, sometimes you freeze over so long and you don't understand, but is needed... Even if you love your hobbie, especially if a hobbie turned work, the pressure can make things change, burnout fan settle even in the most creative and loving of people Especially when we equate work to value, to produce to be of worth But we are worth it even if we just stop Even if we are frozen Even if we just exist Our worth doesn't stop just because we do

Nice video, love the vibe. And yeah i get like this too, spending hours trying to optimise my mood, feels like im taking a phd in trying to calculate the best game for me to be playing in order to get no fomo. I found the best thing for me is to force myself into boredom, not for long. Just turn all screens off, close your eyes and try and think about nothing. After 5 minutes of absolute boredom i find that any entertainment is worth my free time and im free to actually choose what i would like to spend my time doing. The video by better ideas: "the procrastination tool you don't want to hear" is a good guide for this, it's not just useful for being productive but also good for valuing the simple fun in gaming.

Yeah, alot of things but to be fair I've been severely depressed so maybe that has something to do with it. But yeah, I get that feeling of just stopping and you can never fully go back.

Boredom due to an emptiness (weather a known emptiness or unknown emptiness) that craves something different, boredom that usually comes from a lack of things to busy ones self with or a lack of purpose. That is what it sounds like you're experiencing. I'll give one option, Go to church, meet some new people, learn things that you might wish you learned earlier, or maybe wished you hadn't forgot. The moments you just stop, you come back to reality, you break from an autopilot like trance and think "what am i doing?" Or maybe just "why". You have a purpose, it's a big world out there, once you think you saw all there is to see, you'll see something new. It's easy to get lost out there and there's a lot of ground to cover, so why not start now? (I am writing this on 5 hours of sleep and 15 hours since i last slept so i apoligize if none of this makes sense and is just a jumbled mess of words😅.)

this makes complete sense! (5 hours of sleep or not!) totally something i’ve been thinking about, and how I should expand my perspective and my own personal skills. The autopilot trance is so relatable. I really appreciate the comment, and thank you for taking the time to watch the video 🙂

Funny this comes up in my feed after i finish my first playthrough of Dead Rising in a few years. Ive loved those first two ganes ever since I first picked them up. I used to know them front to back, but getting there caused such burnout because i always hyperfixate. But it was nice to return to it again. After all this time away from it, i had a lot of fun. I hope you get out of your rut quickly and find a game that's exavtky what you need, even if it isnt what you thought it would be.

I had a similar thing happen to me when I played RE 4 Remake, it was a ton of fun, but wasn’t the original that my brain remembered. 10/10 still. thank you! i appreciate you watching the video! 🙂

I thought you meant in the positive sense like I was playing Elden ring on hour 2000+ and realized I wasn’t having fun while playing and rarely ever did so I just stopped.
@ayemaldo2 ай бұрын
it can be! its kinda up to interpretation, there's no one answer for it. Sometimes I stop for the reasons like I mentioned in the video, but that is also a very valid experience too!
