Today I visited BAE Systems near Humberside Airport and even though the man that came and spoke to me was very nice, I could not get any information out of him.
He did talk about the two aircraft the were parked outside, but that was about it, still it was an interesting place to visit.

He was a nice guy, he won't tell you anything because working for bae he has to sign the official secrets act. I used to work in the aerospace industry and also had to. Usually you cannot get onto site because of security but they are probably working on older stuff if they are apprentices, so there is not real threat as such.

First plane was Jet Provest trainer.The pilots sat side by side instead of one behind the other. Originally made by Hunting Percival then taken over and made by BAC.

Lmao no Drones are prohibited from flying near airports because its debris that could get sucked into an engine then that's a potential fatal crash. The rule is there to prevent people from dying, not for money making purposes

@@sphinxios aerodromes exist because people want to fly planes. That's their purpose. The cost of setting up an airfield or an aerodrome to be in line with the laws set by the CAA is far more than whatever gain may come from preventing drones in the area, and having worked at airports and having used airfields before, I can say that the money one would get from using it... As an aerodrome for aircraft would be a far more effective source of money than would be if you just set it up to stop drones flying
