An Italian friend , very intelligent , identify "co dependent " years ago to me , but called it a "beggas relationship" because one begs for resources , one begs for attention . He not trained in psychology , he just observed and explained it like that. Amazing .

I get taken advantage of all the time because of finding it extremely difficult to say No. It's a very uncomfortable feeling.

Ever "off " when you say yes , even though you sincerely mean YES ? Psychologist friend says its because you didn't say " No" when you meant NO , you said Yes when yo really wanted to say No. People pleasing destroys.

If you have any advice regarding elder parent(87) care i would like to hear it. My husband lost his mother and now his father needs extra care; he is pretty good but forgetful and slower and weak.... he is also manipulative. My husband is working through the end of life paperwork and business well. But he is spending all hours with his father at his home night and day. It's only been a week and a half but i worry that this will be the new normal. My husband works from home so he works at his dad's home and sees his dad sleeping all day. I just don't know how to express my concerns and think it's maybe too early in the loss aspect
