Excellent video! I was diagnosed with Tendonitis, wasn’t improving and MRI after 4 weeks finally caught the Cuboid fracture. I was in a marathon training block, ramped miles up, changed shoes for running in snow with a lower drop height than I like but traction was key and had a minor toe sprain from kicking a baby gate so I was favoring outside of the foot.

Thank you for this video! I have been diagnosed with a cuboid stress fracture. I sprained my ankle a couple weeks prior to feeling pain. Could you explain the mechanism of injury for how an ankle sprain could lead to a stress fracture of the cuboid?

Very informative video! I was misdiagnosed with a lisfranc injury thought to be from when I previously rolled my ankle as the pain was hard to pinpoint and moved around my foot & ankle. After a few weeks of not recovering I got an MRI scan which showed a stress fracture in my cuboid and stress reactions in my navicular and talus. It’s a tricky injury but videos like this are super interesting to read and understand right now!

Very timely video! Just diagnosed with an avulsion fracture on the cuboid after spraining my ankle. Abnormal bruising across the top of my foot inspired me to get X-rays.

Pretty helpful info. I think I’ve got one. I foolishly ran 20 miles after not running for months and felt pain the next day. Pain is only really when I push off from the ground and it’s behind that 4th and 5th metatarsal but before the heel bone. Had some significant pain when walking for a a day or 2 but I’ve stopped all activity and it feels better but still hurts to use. Yet to go to doctor for an actual diagnosis.

I have a question I drop a chair on it and I’ve been seeing Physio and my Physio fine and my doctor. My doctor seems fine to the x-ray didn’t show anything but it still hurts when I walk in and pressure on it. i’ve been wearing a walking boot 6 for weeks now and it just hasn’t gotten better. Now I’m waiting for MRI

@@DocOnTheRun do you think the MRI will show it?
