Definitely seeing a gentler (but no kinder) Malcolm Tucker in the Doctor's characterization here, and that's not a bad thing. About time, I'd say, because this is still an alien being who would be suspicious of Santa Claus, and I think that the Doctor of old would be suspicious, but not so much the NuWho Doctors until now. I LOVE Capaldi's take on the character!

As always I enjoyed your reactions. Shame about your camera stopping, I would have liked to see your reaction to the children friendly part. Fit`s in with what Amy`s Dr. said though. (Geoff / Jeff, I think) If you are not going to work your way through Classic Who, you might like to visit the 2nd, Dr.`s story, The Mind Robber. You will notice a connection, several first`s that gave us a shock at the time. First mention of a particular character, though not connected to the one we all know. I would have thought, it would have been the sack rather than the sleigh. Which thinking of Barnable & 11th, Dr.`s barn conversation in T.O.T.D., could be thanks to the Dr., rather than proof of being a time lord. Perhaps, they will go into that in a future Xmas episode. :)

they really suckered me I had no idea if clara would be staying after this season/series and when I saw old clara I was like oh shit this is how they are going to write her out. she lived out her life is now too old to travel and the doctor came to say good bye. It would have been a satisfying way to say good bye but I'm glad she's staying around I really liked clara I didn't feel her and capaldi had as good of chemistry as she and smith did but I want to see if they do become as good.

Well, the Doctor only met Santa in the mid-credits scene. So he left Clara, and then cut to credits for a while before the scene played. Maybe there was some kind of time skip right after he left Clara, during which he got the Dream Crab stuck on his face.
