1. When we adapt a new (/ even in regular) diet, we may experience heartburn or reflux. 2. Taking antacids or proton pump inhibitors like pan d /omez etc.. may reduce stomach acids and lead to anaemia. 3. Anaemia leads to fatigue, pain, hair loss and several other symptoms, which will demotivate us from continuing tbe diet. Occasionally / (mostly frequently) we will do cheat diet.. which will reset all good work done by diet. 4. This delays the effect of weight loss and for most people, might never be a positive experience. 5. To avoid this, maintain a diary of food that creates heartburn, avoid it all costs, Go slow with change in diet, suppement with exercise and sunshine. Don't strain gut health in the name of diet. I think this is the concept of anti-inflammatory diet. - I am saying this as a vegetarian who gave up dieting due to developing anaemia (also some personal life choices) ... but see the truth in the concept. Doctor here is right...that there are so many native ingredients that are anti-inflammatory in nature and we need not shell lakhs only to lose wallet weight. Balance your diet and exercise for a healthy account balance.

The amura diet is different (The one Vidya Balan followed ...). Even if you eat only good vegetables and fruits, people might still end up with weight gain, diabetes, inflammation etc. Amura helps in finding out which of those foods is actually causing that inflammation and gives you the knowledge to avoid it. For Vidya Balan it's Milk and Palak. For one of my friend it's Urad Dhal (Ulundhu), for the other one it is curd and for someone else it was Toor Dhal (Thuvarai) ... Even if you avoid processed foods and eat inflammatory foods that has only vegetables and fruits cooked at home you will still end up with inflammation. It's better to figure which one is causing it and avoid it. Amura helps in that regard.

Doctor, we can't say its gimmick, what vidya Balan said is true. People should know specifically what to eat and what not to eat. Im also suffering from inflammation in the body and its very bad, I get lot of body aches and pains and for that I need to particularly avoid certain foods like legumes, dal, potatoes and maida. I was taking all this in small quantities since I didn't know, so it was not helping me at all. But by completely avoiding those items and adding more of omega 3 in my diet, I am feeling lot more better. So It is important for us to know which are the foods to avoid in particular and which to include, that's where we are lacking. And It is also important to follow a strict anti inflammatory diet to reduce inflammation in the body and that is what vidya Balan had followed. She said she could not reduce her weight in spite of doing regular work outs, but by following an anti-inflammatory diet, she was able to lose weight easily, of course work outs are very essential, but just by following normal regular diet, one cannot lose weight for sure.

Dr. I was hoping you would educate us but I think you did not research enough. Vidya Balan has been a vegetarian all her life and she followed an “elimination” diet. She found out that Spinach ( Palak) and Dhoodhi ( Sorakai) were giving her inflammatory response! So not all vegetables and fruits suit everyone- everyone metabolizes it differently. And so each one of us have to find out what works well for our body and what doesn’t. Here’s where our ancient wisdom of Ayurveda also play a very interesting part. Healing happens with combined knowledge of many different disciplines. Allopathy never addresses root cause - it only manages the symptoms. Sir..I have been in To that diet with that amura company... What they are suggesting is one level above from regular diet..dals should be avoided, wheat etc..but that is just for 2 weeks to cleanse our body.. Later detox diet they will ask you to take 800 calories only with very few veggies , egg white for another 2 weeks And after that only reintroction phase , we will be adding one by one item from our regular food habits...but we have to stick to 800 cal.. Functional medicine dr will be there and provide you with lot of suppliments as we r talking much less cal In 2 months I have come down from 86 to 72.. but beyond that it's very difficult for me and I quit... No exercise because you won't be having energy to do it..
