The reason 'Amina' screamed so loud is because she knew there was someone in the next room that would come to her rescue after she had shared her previous experience with this journalist. She knew that at least somebody cared and helped her realize that what was being done to her was wrong and unnecessary. This is a primary example of why most women suffer in silence after being defiled mostly because they don't trust that whoever they come forward to with this information will be on their side so they'd rather not endure the shame; being poorly judged and all.

Dear Kenyans, as a medic saying this please know you have a RIGHT to demand for better from your medical practitioner. ‘Kenyans’ don’t fear us! We took an oath to make sure we do our best for you, service delivery can’t and should not be compromised . This reminds me when I was in form 3 back in 2011 I experienced some stomach pains and my sent me to our local public hospital. It was in the afternoon so most of the medics were away. At the consultation room I met a male medic who qfter explaining my symptoms he began pressing my stomach and told me to undress so he can "check" my virginity because he believes it is the cause of my stomachache. I assumed he was up to no good. When I tried to leave the room he held me back. Nilimuuma uso in the process and screamed. I went home and told my mum the whole ordeal usitake jua the circus she caused at that facility. Women go through a lot of sexual abuse than is reported in Kenyan hospitals.

😓😓we have a sick healthcare system..i thought we learnt from the case of Mugo wa Wairimu sometimes back...a number of these private facilities exist just to exploit people who are in need of their services...i can't imagine my wife, mother, sister or even my daughter going through this. It's terrible and heartbreaking..fellow kenyans if you experience such acts pls don't keep it, reach out so that we end this impunity...seems they're even enjoying protection from law enforcement arm of gvmnt..but let's ACT NOW....kudos NTV, that's proffesional journalism..we need more of this to expose the rot

The Medical Board should do a review of all its members so as to avoid this in the future. They should have a data base to follow up on those who renew license's and those who have not. Those accused of malpractices also should be in the data base
