Just seeing this... That's one sleek looking design. Its absolutely beautiful. Tbh I still haven't owned a CKF blade now that I'm thinking about it. I'll have to change that soon.🔥🔥

I've always loved being a fan of 4"+ folders because they generally fly under the radar and rarely sell for over retail on the secondary. This is definitely an exception, and seems to have drawn many more to the market

very neat design, crazy milling!

I was lucky enough to grab one of these knives #55 and the milling is simply gorgeous as stated by Dr Funkey. Especially the lines & holes of the pocket clip floating above the frame but in perfect harmony to the frame of the knife I have several CKF's and love them all, this is just another gem from CKF. They truly know who to collaborate with for the best of knives.

This is a `every so often a knife comes along‘ piece. It reeks of magic through and through as well as capturing the heart and head in one go that puts a sparkle in the eyes 👍 the chance of me owning one is slim but that doesn’t mean that I can’t indulge in a bit of `up market window shopping‘. Great video Doc, thanks 😄✌️

Another great review. But, I carry all my folding knives concealed and unfortunately, 3.5" is the State limit. I need to move soon and the free State of WY is only an hour and half away.

... and justice for all? No, only for those who managed to snag this awesome piece (lol). It’s okay though, the microtech socom is my 4 inch blade of choice, so my other 4 inch knives tend to get neglected.

For ...And Justice For All, you’ll probably have to skip this knife and just buy the Metallica album instead.

It costs to keep up... ckf is my f an favorite production company.. they may cost a bit but they do the custom makers justice

I’m more interested in that Micro Transient, is it a front flipper?

The Future was a Reate knife, not CKF, but this one does have similar styling and aesthetic as do many of Tashi's designs. Not saying that as a negative, I love Tashi's work. He tends to design knives in "families," many designs will have very similar design language with subtle differences... definitely defines the blades that bear his name, easy to spot a Tashi
@TheStabbyCyclist4 жыл бұрын
I owned a Reate Future and currently own a CKF Justice. The Future was a significantly slimmer knife. Didn't feel quite as good in hand as the Justice. I'd also say the fit and finish of the Justice surpasses the Future.

CKF really outdid themselves with this one. The milling details are insane and it's got that Shirogorov-like action. Can you imagine how much an integral Shiro would cost? Considering that fact, I'd almost say this knife is a bargain.

A Bargain for a production knife at $700+? We’ve been had. Imagine what this would have sold at 5+ years ago

Want
@jtucci57114 жыл бұрын
I will never understand the limited run philosophy, from the collectors standpoint it is great but that being said for those of us that want CKF models for the purpose of a user that is a rather large number of people you are eliminating from ownership of their knives. Also by the time they are tooled up for production it also makes little sense to me anyway to run this small 200 piece quantity. I Just don't get it, in what other industry do you find this ridiculous premeditated false exclusivity. Also when is CKF going to come clean with the fact that Kevin Johns produces their components ?
@DonaldPerreault4 жыл бұрын
It isn’t just the knife industry making limited edition Knives, the flashlight industry is doing it as well. I personally like being one of the few that end up with a limited knife. I have 001 out of 500 with the BenchMade Mini Loco. I also don’t care who makes the knife, if it is a great knife, who cares who made it? Show me where CKF claims to make all their knives in house, some are made in China. The Chinese have stepped up to the plate in knife manufacturing arena the last few years.
@84Eraursls4 жыл бұрын
@@DonaldPerreault I don't think he is talking about Chinese production, but Kevin Johns in particular. He is known to rip off designs of other high end production and custom knives.

I really wanted this knife, but it's hard to drop $750 for a CKF. I've heard a lot of people talk about their quality, but I've had two Morrf's and several of their spinners and was disappointed in the quality. The spinners were horribly off balance (I bought several to have enough components to fix this), and the knives were hard to get a good action with no blade play. I want to give them another shot, it's just hard to roll the dice for $750. If this knife is as good as most say, it would probably the perfect knife for me.

I have a fif20 it is unbelievably great
@CNYKnifeNerd3 жыл бұрын
That's the problem. This IS the perfect knife for me at $750. I have no problem paying that and I would USE it every day for the foreseeable future. If only I could find one. They're all locked away collecting dust. I'm not knocking anyone for what they choose to do with the things they spend their money on, nor I'm I in the "these are tools" camp. Its frustrating, none the less. You're right though, CKF is not the perfection that many would have you believe, but I think their knives are always priced correctly (secondary market VERY excluded)
