I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you. Your tips go far beyond anything I’ve ever experienced with any of my physical therapists. Your exercise for lower back pain has helped me so tremendously. I am going to sign up soon for your classes.

Thanks. I do these movements when I start moving. It helps reduce the “Frankenstein walk”. I do them while on our MSing link calls too.

I love these tips! I exercise regularly to help with my MS symptoms, but first thing in the morning I am a bit ‘wooden’ in my movements. I will definitely try to warm up a bit before jumping out of bed. Thanks Dr. Gretchen!

Hello, I am a survivor of Chair Malformation 2020, I had Decompression surgery. I try to implement your MS exercises into my life. I've been to PT over the past few years and I think your techniques will help. Health insurance can only go so far and cover so much. I'm not currently going to PT, so I do exercise at home and help from my husband. Keep up the videos 😊

Absolutely will! I'm so glad that you are able to implement the exercises and strategies shared on my page!

This isn’t a MS-specific problem. This happens to a lot of people who sit in a plane, train, or car for a long period of time.
@Kratos0911 Жыл бұрын
Respectfully, yes, you are correct. But what’s your point? This may or may not be applicable for you, however, it’s FREE quality MS information for those who CAN possibly benefit from Dr Gretchen’s information. Just TRY and be grateful.. it may be tough for anyone devastated with MS, but TRY. Good luck

I didn’t say that I wasn’t grateful. I’m always grateful for Dr. Hawley’s videos. I was just pointing out that even people who don’t have MS have this problem. Although the channel is intended for people with MS, it’s also beneficial for people who want to alleviate aches and pains. In fact, many of her exercises are Pilates exercises.

Why the sole of my feet feel as though I am standing on rubber..?.this causes me to have ataxia I use a walker for balance. I am considering botox.
@DoctorGretchenHawley8 ай бұрын
When the sole of our feet feel different (ie. numb, tingling, etc.) then it’s a sensory change. Therefore desensitization exercises may be helpful! I have a video on my page about this - search for “desensitization” and you should find a few.

Do same thing if you barely can lift legs? I tend to not be able to barely
@DoctorGretchenHawley26 күн бұрын
Yes - I always recommend doing the thing that's hard! This will help the brain to rewire the neural pathways OR strengthen existing ones. This will allow for progress to occur in that specific movement or action.

I find it SO hard to do your exercises with my left leg - it just WON'T lift, and I cant use it when trying to walk. Can you suggest an exercise that will strengthen my left leg, please? Many thanks.
