For anyone interested in the highest rec'd CO2 laser, I had it done after years of trying everything else they rec'd in this video. There are 2 types- Dot and Wave. My doctor rec'd the less invasive Dot during our consultation. Six weeks later at the checkin- zero results- so she went ahead and did the intrusive Wave around my mouth/chin where the rolling acne scars are. 2 weeks downtime and red skin for 2 months. It's been 1 year and the results are very minimal on the pitted acne scarring. Zero results on a scar from having stitches as a child, chicken pox scar, and a sun spot. What it did well on were very fine lines I didnt even really notice I had. TLDR: not worth the $2500.

Questions I (35F, combination&dry) have and would love to see a video on: 1) Enzyme exfoliation. What's enzyme exfoliation and who is it for? 2) Reapplying sunscreen. Should I cleanse and moisturize every time I apply (mineral) sunscreen? Just moisturize? Neither? 3) Antioxidants. Is there any benefit to using a variety of antioxidants or does the niacinimide in my sunscreen mean I'm already covered in the antioxidant category? 4) Acne-causing hair products. I normally don't get pimples except when I try to incorporate hair products into my routine. There's a hair product I love but I think it gives me acne, particularly when I wear it to bed and it gets on my pillowcase. Am I doomed to choose between acne and frizzy hair forever? 5) Irreversible damage. Is it a thing? Like, suppose you're comparing a 45-year-old who started their skin care journey at 35 to another 45-year-old who started their skin care journey at 15--how huge is the difference? Do those of us who didn't wear sunscreen in our 20s still have a fighting chance?

Healthy skin texture (inside&out) is the ultimate foundation for sooooo many other issue. I'll never forget wise words from London based high profile (in terms of education) dermatologist when asked by a 43 year old lady about botox, fillers etc. "Dear, you can have all the botox and all the high quality fillers we have nowadays. But, without the healthy skin texture, in your 50s, 60s and so on, your skin will look unhealthy and old. Let's first deal with skin texture, then we'll discuss a tat of a botox here, and a bit of filler here&there, but strategically, not overdoing it, since the foundation will have already done most of the 'job' - aging with grace and style". Loved it. ♥️🤗

I would love to hear more about snail mucin!

Dr dray said in her video today that bakuchiol is stupid and useless basically. Just not enough research behind it
@ViardotVSGrisi3 жыл бұрын
@@dora876 she said essentially that there is not enough research to back up the product claims that cosmetic companies are making. What I got from her is that at this point she wouldn’t endorse it as a retinol replacement or even something she would invest too much money on.

Glycolic acid and salicylic is great for texture! Retinoids are tricky to use and made my skin ultra sensitive in hot Florida, it’s unpredictable

Will this help my dry flaky skin ? Which exfoliating product would be best ? Lactic acid maybe ? The dr says he uses lactic acid and it’s his fav how do I use it ?

Yay! I've been waiting a new video from you two. I've been using the Paula's Choice BHA to help get rid of the comedones and it's so slow going. I know it takes time but it's hard to be patient. Keep making such great informative videos.

I use the BHA and AHA together. They work really well.

I miss retinoids 😩 I was pregnant and now breastfeeding... so I feel like my skin has been put on the back burner. I’m just trying to protect my skin with lots of sunscreen and moisturizer. But man... my skin was SO good while using adapalene. It truly transformed my skin.

Another great video! Can you recommend a alternative product to hyaluronic acid to help hydrate and plump up the skin. Thank you

Beta glucan or peptides!

Glycerin, beta glucan and polyglutamic acid are some that derms and estys recommend as alternatives to HA.
