When it comes to the "Broken heart syndrome" it makes me think of the older generation born in the 30's and 40's that have lived with their significant other their entire life. Most of them have spent 60-70 years together and once the first one dies, the other one dies within weeks or months.
@Im_Revenge3 жыл бұрын
Mostly when the Female part dies first the male follows quickly after.. When the male part dies first, females tend to live for years on after because they can cope with it better than men. I know that because i was working in a retirement home for a couple of years and when i asked why most of em are females my chef told me this.

She said that it wasn't THAT long and it was normal. It made me feel so stupid and like I was overreacting. She didn't even acknowledge the depression and anxiety. What happened? Self-harm, insecurity and even deeper depression happened and I didn't understand why I was feeling and reacting this way. She had stated I was over-reacting so I felt so bad and stupid. She sucked and I wish I could go back and tell myself to see another doctor to get help. Because She just made it worse by not taking me seriously. The term is used to describe the effects of a "heartbreak" because a emotionally significant trauma changes the shape of your heart so, that it's a bit wider at the bottom, therefore resembling an actual takotsubo.

For caffeine addicts, I'd say often it is not the caffeine that is dictating your mood and alertness, but the hydration. I used to consume heavy caffeine in the mornings, but started hydrating instead initially with squash and water. It was never an objective to cut down on energy drinks and coffee, but I did because hydrating in the morning did more for me than caffeine did.
@emordnilap47472 жыл бұрын
Hydration is definitely important, and caffeine is a diuretic, so obviously not going to help with that. But for some people small, to moderate amounts of caffeine can act as an antidepressant. I have suffered from depression since childhood, and find it helps. Not huge amounts of it-one, sometimes two, rarely three cups of coffee a day. And I avoid it for at least ten hours before bed. Of course, for those consuming huge amounts, it can certainly be a problem. I always have water, and coffee in the morning.

@@Epiphun Yes but it's highly dependent on the downstream effects of your migraine. For some, caffeine is actually a trigger. However, for others, because caffeine as a vasoconstrictor can reduce the dilation of blood vessels, they have pain relief because vasodilation in the nerves in the head is partly responsible for the pain of migraine (see: Excedrin, a common migraine-treatment medication which contains caffeine). There is still lots of uncertainty with the physical mechanism of migraine though.

@@cripki7558 stimulants have still a wide range of effects on people with ADHD but the theory is that the symptoms like hyperactivity are a reaction to understimulation. So depending on the actual brain chemistry, some stimulants may be effectively calming you down. For example, in the morning after not enough sleep, a neurotypical will feel slowed down and caffeine will bring alertness and energy from the baseline. Someone with ADHD in the morning will feel exacerbated, unable to focus, and appear hyperactive trying to deal with too much at once instead of focusing on one thing at a time. isn’t it true that the eyebrows are there to prevent sweat to get in your eyes? eyelashes also prevent stuff to get in your eyes, yet mine don’t even do their job. they can’t even prevent pollen from getting in to my eyes. USELESS 7:55 guess what, i get tired from caffeine.

@@materla4102 aside from the function of eyebrows and eyelashes i have literally no clue why we have hair 😂

@@savannahcloudfoot5298 Yeah, I was just curious what function you would thought about first :D I had some anthropology classes and I remember our profesor telling us that scientists are not sure either but there are many hypothesis. Hair are the direct protection from the sun, absorbing sweat from the face, or the little hypothesis humans were semi aquatic and had only their head out of the water :D These I remember but I was curious if someone knows more.

@@materla4102 Pubic hair is probably to catch bacteria and prevent it from getting to sensitive areas. I imagine hair on the top of the head is to prevent massive sun damage since that’s the highest point on the body.
