Love the addition of trail running/hike shoes. So many backpackers now use trail runners instead if hiking boots

Haven't seen a lot of love for the SC Trainer v3, but I got them in part thanks to info from DoR and have really enjoyed them. The different perspectives and "who is this shoe for" approach to reviews here is refreshing. Thanks!

Always feels good to get back to running after taking time off from injury. Had never heard of Eleos brand before

The puma shoe wasn't the elite version?

Nope, more of the training companion

@@nate.docsofrunning Thanks Nate, always appreciate it! I used the Nitro Elite 2's in my last Marathon for a 15 minute PB (may have trained better as well, haha) and have been waiting for the Elite 3's to come on sale where I live but they haven't yet. Will look out for the Deviate 3's as well. Thanks!

Just out of curiousity what do you do with all these shoes lying there? Do you really comeback to older shoes if it has life in it? Or it just sits there?

What is the best shoe for people who struggle with shin splints? Looking to get into running, but I have struggled with shin splints in the past, so I’m a bit afraid. Any suggestions appreciated.

based off some of my knowledge, others should provide their input. Take this with a grain of salt, you would benefit more from a more cushioned trainer like the asics nimbus 26s, invincible 3s, glycerin max. Bouncier trainers like the asics novablast 5s, rebel v4s. When it comes to shin splits / running injuries there are causes that you have to examine first. I would go to a local running shoe and just try on some of these recommendations and see if they work for you. If you have a general understanding of your biomechanics (heel foot, midfoot, forefoot striker) it’ll be easier to find a shoe that works for you. Personally I’m a heel foot striker and I’ve been putting miles on the on cloud monsters 2 and novablast 5 and they’ve been working good for me. Just some things for thought

No mention of the rebel v4 - seems to be getting top pick on lots of other review sites - any reason the whole DOR team didnt go for it?

Nothing wrong with the v4, we liked it, we just happened to like others a little more in the category.
