Another wonderful testament showing how poorly engineered all this emissions crap is! I hope you put his old dpf back in!🙏🏻

The return spring in the valve body pushes the solenoid rod back in. If you pushed on it at all you would have mucked up the whole scam on selling a new egr valve. If you plugged it in, pretty darn simple test, it would have worked just fine. I know because I do all the maintenance on my 2011 ram 2500 cummins myself, including the 67500 service. If you sold that customer a new egr valve when you never bothered plugging the one you cleaned back in your an a-hole mechanic and why I work on my own vehicles. Seriously you didn't notice that with the egr valve cleaned when you put the solenoid back on you had to let the rod go back in to get it on because if you hadn't the damn egr valve would have been open.

Seems to me he should have hooked the electrical portion back up to see if the computer would have retracted the electrical portion of it because carbon could have stuck the valve in that position and the motor couldn't retract so when disconnected would have remained open until reconnected may or may not be faulty incomplete diagnosis

Excellent informative helpful video. I would bet that the actuator would be ok if you push it back in and out a few times to free it up.

I know most shop don't recommend deleting the egr. But deleting would eliminate all that issues.

So, I’ve only briefly begun to listen to this video and immediately it is clear that the problem we are having with our truck is not the same. Our truck starts, will drive and sometimes…has no issues, however, often the truck looses power from the pedal. The truck can be operated without issue on the interstate using cruise but if shifting/speed changes are required, the truck looses power. We have spent thousands of dollars trying to fix the problem one of which was changing the pedal & body grounding strap. We have recently had it suggested it could be a turbo sensor issue. I am reaching out in an effort to help my husband find a solution. If anyone has had this same problem and has ideas, we would be grateful if you shared your solution. TIA

FYI, last year I had a recal and I didn’t want to take it in but found out that if I didn’t I would not get my registration stickers!!!!! The recall added restrictions on my truck and now I have no power. This could be happening to all trucks do to the fake and lies we have in California

It will go into limp mode. You can have a scanner with you and clear the codes when it goes into limp mode. That should get you home.

Egr vavle is new, exhaust pressure sensor new, new egr cooler, no blockage in the exhaust system, no blockage in the intake system. Turbo and vgt brand new. Have good power, good grounds, good signal from signal wires, great continuity all the way back to pcm. Map sensor is new, maf is good barometric sensor is good. Intake air temp sensor is good. Am I missing anything?

But the DPF is “good” for the world, sorry about the vehicle! I recently switched to the older diesels for this reason.
