I can see it now: the first collaboration between Goulet Pens and Pineider to make the Princess Bride pen. The body and nib would be in black for Wesley. The clip would be a sword for Inigo. The cap finial would be a terra cotta boulder for Fezzic unless they could make a new mystery filler that way (basically rounded but maybe with a few cut outs that helped the grip as it made it more boulder-like). This would likely have to be of unusual size. The band or faux cap band for the mystery filler version would be a gold ring for Buttercup. Bonus points if they could etch into the clip or on the band the word “INCONCEIVABLE!”

Seasonal inks ... I just finished writing 100 Christmas cards. Your supplies made it a pleasure! A Pilot Parallel was perfect for addressing all the envelopes (1.5 nib). A Twisbi Diamond 580 (an ECO would be great too) was a dream for writing notes inside -- a smooth writer and holds a lot of ink! And Noodler's Green Marine is a perfect Classic Green ink, nicely saturated and even somewhat water resistant. I like that ink anytime, but love it for Holiday cards. Thank you Goulet Company!

I was LOL imagining Drew going into various fast food restaurants and ordering a sandwich then pulling out a waffle substitute for the bun! Regarding the issue of paper fibers in the pen nib, wiping on a paper towel usually doesn't help because the paper towel is also fibrous. I use a chamois from the auto supply store and cut it into squares to make pen wipers. Because there's no fibers in the chamois cloth, there's no danger of more fibers getting into the pen nib.

Beef Wellington is one of my favourite meals to cook, and eat. Fillet steak, smothered in homemade pate, then rolled in puff pastry and baked in the oven. To avoid a soggy bottom cook it on a preheated oven tray with (preheated) foil on it. Aged steak is the best as it is drier so won't make the pastry go soggy.

@5:48 "...record the Pencast until we collapse from exhaustion" reminds me of the old dance marathons. Not that I'm that old... but I saw it on Happy Days once. :) Sign me up for some of these themed pens. I LOVED the idea of a Ghostbusters trap pen and the Gonzo with a condor nib. Thank you for answering my question!! What I think is actually happening is the ink makes the paper "wet", and it makes the paper more prone to creating fibers that get picked up by the pen. This rarely happens while just writing "words", but I use my pens for "coloring" also, which is where this happens the most. I had no idea what the brass sheets were for, so I will be ordering some. PS, that images paper is the #105 Mnemosyne notebook, which is what I draw on mostly, as well as Goulet notebooks and Rhodia and Leuchtturm1917. Maybe I will send you a sample doodle...

I love my TC Brass pen, and I take it almost everywhere! However, the sharp edges sometimes hurt my hand a little when the pocket is a little small and I reach for my phone. Otherwise, it fits greatly in most pockets. I tend to use it at school for notes, but there is one problem -- the long cap. It is a little tedious to cap and uncap the pen when taking notes. For example, when there are no notes to take for a while, I cap the pen so that it won't dry, but then when I do have to take more notes, the uncapping is annoying. Great, durable, and slim pocket pen though!

Response to Karis (Fiber problem!) - It looks like you might be using your fountain pen to color space on the page. I would like to know if the fibers get caught during normal writing or if it mainly happens when coloring. This used to happen to me when I did some random doodles and colored in sections. I think that as you color, the ink softens the fibers and makes it easier for them to get pulled up into the tines. I ended up going with a smoother, broader nib for my doodles (I don't do anything with precise lines) and if I'm slow and deliberate with my coloring (not going over the same line over and over) I don't seem to have the issue anymore. I hope this helps!

My top 5 pocket pens would be a Pilot Prera followed by four more Pilot Preras. I love that pen so much. I get a sense that the American market seems to be very demonstrator-heavy but I prefer the solid colour Preras. The demonstrator variants are pretty keen too, but the tendency for getting ink under the cap liner is a bit of a distraction. With the solid colour ones, if that happens then I don't see it so I don't sweat it.
