I always wondered why one of my eyes seems to wander away when being deeply relaxed (meditation or being terribly tired). That was a nice explanation and now I know this is absolutely normal. Thanks for this enlightment !

I always enjoy your videos. Very informative, or maybe I’m just extra uninformed, but I learn something every time.

I was born with my left eye stuck to my nose. An operation to fix it was only posible by the age of 7. After the operation, both my eyes move correctly (most of the time, it's funny when they don't). Now I'm 41 and I have around 70% of vision on my left eye. While I had mild astigmatism and myopia through the last 20 or so years, that 70% of reduced vision on my left eye was always stuck there. Right after the operation I used glasses and a patch on my right eye but all that could be recover was up to 70%. I once saw a 3D movie (don't usually do because I obviously find very hard to perceive the depth effect) after which I found myself with an increase sense of depth perception (really cool and desorienting). It lasted just for several minutes. This was in my 30s. My question is: How truth is behind the sayings regarding the exercise of an eye with ambliopya by the using of head mounted displays (VR) and other 3D media? - Thanks

I’ve been watching some of your older videos, but i though I’d comment here so it’s more likely to be seen. Around October last year, I went to my local optometrist because I was watching a TikTok, and figured out I had a rare disease called visual snow syndrome, where I have constant visual static on my eyes, a lot of floaters, low vision at night, tinnitus, and a few other things. I then went to Sydney to talk to an eye specialist about it, and they’re still trying to figure out the cause of the condition. Are you able to make a video about visual snow syndrome to get the word out there? It’s an extremely annoying condition that literally anyone can get one day, and some people maybe have it now and not even know it. I never knew I did until I saw the TikTok, I just thought that’s how everyone else saw the world. There’s a Wikipedia page about VSS too if you want to look into it, and also google the visual snow initiative, both are a good starting point.

Could you talk about binocular vision dysfunction in a video? I know you slightly mention it in here. I learned from my eye doctor that there were prisms to help with this. I also learned from my eye doctor and ENT that there is motion sickness, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. Not many people know this. So if you talk about it more, it might help some people. I now wear glasses for it. I did PT, and I am doing OT for it.

My left eye wanders off outwards when I’m tired. My prescription only used to be about 0.25 diopters different from my left (better) eye than my right (slightly more myopic) eye. I cannot see 3D illusions. My optometrist said I have bi ocular vision instead of binocular. I swap between perceiving one or the other. Found out when I did a pre-employment medical that something wasn’t right, I was looking into a device with part for each eye and had to say what number the indicator pointed to and it kept changing. I could make the two pictures (well different colours) combine into one in the optometrist’s rooms if I really concentrated, but it wasn’t easy. I tried wearing one contact lens instead of two one time, that didn’t go well.

thank you for this video! it's hard to find good info on tropias. no wonder my right eye's squint keeps getting worse 😭 prism glasses only help for a couple years before i need new ones! what's weird is that i don't have a lazy eye at all, even tho i can't function without my glasses due to how nauseous the double vision makes me i guess it's time to get a donctor's appointment..

Hello, Antonio. Please, tell me if I understand that correctly. I accidentally crooked my glasses slightly. As I understand, when adjusting glasses in shop, they should mark the centres of the lenses and look whether they are perfectly fitted after adjusting, because the glasses wasn't made with perfectly straight frame, so adjusting to perfectly straight frame isn't enough, because it won't make centres fit to my eyes. As well as the factor, the you can crook glasses in one place but optician can straighten them in by adjusting another place.

Oh yes I had to wear the eye patch as a kid and I had the eyedrops! We were terrible at remembering to do it but somehow my vision did get corrected so both my eyes are similar! I don’t have great vision though but with glasses it’s not to bad!

Hey Antonio, could you make a video about anisometropia. My eyes have different refractive power, and it's really make me confused. My right eye is sph 1.00, cyl 1.75, axis 180. Meanwhile my left eye is sph 4.50, cyl 0.25, axis 170

I have one eye turn inwards towards my nose. I can't use that eye to read or look at things in detail. No don't mind that, but it's annoying when I need to look someone in the eyes when talking to them as they always get freaked out by my eye.. 😂

U didn't cover one aspect. If someone's retina got damaged, vision cannot be improved then there is exophoria. In that case what should be done. All burden comes on another eye. And wandering off eye cannot work even if the stronger eye is covered.

My vision is slightly doubled, but I don't think this is the cause. When looking at a streetlight, I see two lights right next to each other. I have to concentrate to join them together

What if someone intentionally spends a couple of hours every day holding their eyes crossed for months or years on end? Would that strengthen the muscles that hold them that way, eventually leading to it being harder for them to uncross their eyes?
@Onlyoneway.
@Onlyoneway. 11 ай бұрын
No, because the majority of the time is still the eyes in the correct position. You would have to keep them crossed almost all, if not all, the time for that to happen.

Bro i'm litterally blind without glasses: On the left eye i have -1,25 astigmatism, -6,25 myopia and 5 grades of prism; On the right eye i have -1,50 astigmatism and -6 myopia. Could you do a video with all problems together?

Had my eye test today. Age 45. On my receipt it says MC-specs- Distance 1- and below that says MC-specs-reading : 1-2 . So am I far sighted? She said I need two pairs of glasses. Can't believe I didn't ask. Hope you can answer. TY

Thanks John for asking, what it has on the receipt unfortunately doesn’t provide a lot of information to me but I have a suspicion that you may have mild/ moderate far sightedness and/or astigmatism. Sorry I am unable to give you a definitive answer as the possibilities are endless but if you were near sighted then at the age of 45 it’s rare to be needing reading glasses Hope this helps
