But you might check some of the lessons Gulen gives from the youtube channel Herkul, and also if you are interested there is a book from the author Jon Pahl and the book is "Why a Muslim scholar in pennsylvania matter to the world" its a great book, explaining all about the movement, its main reason why it was opened , the life of Gulen which founded "Hizmet" and many more like the "kimse yokmu " foundation which raised more than 43 million usd in 23 countries in Africa by the time the movement was supported by the Turkish investors which liked the movement but after the government blocked them from helping the movement really started to struggle but still is trying to hold no matter what. The coup attempt was surely very tragic, killing many. I would also like to know if you have any evidence to back your claim that Gulen orchestrated it. Yes, the Gulen movement was very active within many circles (schools, mosques, charities, community centers), but they had no past in violent or terrorist acts. I think, yes, Gulen and some of his followers should have stayed out of politics in order to gain more power. But also, if you remember, Erdogan himself used to be allied with Gulen (for example, he would appear at the Turkish Olympics organized by the movement). So, I think the bigger picture here is that state and religion should never mix. Gulen and his followers should have stayed out of politics, but Erdogan should have also not used the movement for more votes. Also, you completely forgot to mention the thousands of people, some of them innocent, rotting in jail only because they had ties to the movement (they were just employees at a Gulen institution). Some of those jailed are women with children, and some of them are tortured and sexually assaulted.

It was because of Gulen, Turkey had a positive image across both the Muslim world and Europe. First of all, the Gulen movement isnt actually a terrorist group its just a foundation where people teach younger ones to follow the right path and teach them a thing or two about Islam and if they want more teach them in detail. Many years ago the big brands in Turkey donated tons of money for these institutions because the movement was doing everything in Turkey's favour but the current Turkish leader used Gulen to gain power and prepare a fake coup which they later blamed the movement and using this they got the power in Turkey. The government is trying to cut everything that is linked with the Movement and because of fear to get jailed those companies no longer are able to support the movement and help them create more institutions. Even the Turkish people finally started to slowly understand the truth and the current president is making a move to escape to US he started to deposit loads of cash to banks in US including BoA.
