I spent as much time as possible outside in the sun to lighten my medium ash brown hair. And it worked! It also made my hair silky smooth, moisturized, healthy, and thinner (I have thick hair). Take note, I have a shower filter, so that helps a lot. Hard water does not mix well neither with hair nor with sebum. Of course, with medium ash brown hair, it will take more than one summer to get noticeable results. But it's worth it.

Thank you for sharing 😊 Yes, a shower filter really helps in getting soft hair. Without a filter, apple cider vinegar rinses can also make your hair smooth. For blonde hair, you can try using lemon juice during winter-it works even without sun 😊

@@LoBelia-NaturalCare I used to spritz my hair down with distilled water after a shower before my shower filter. And I used to use water mixed with distilled vinegar balanced to a pH of about 5. But I find a shower filter does the best job. I'm not sure why, but I sure do as heck love the results!!!

I really love your hair experiments videos! They are so helpful, thank you for putting so much time into these Edit: also wanted to add I've seen some genuine scientific research on photobleaching hair, and that the photobleaching effect is stronger when hair is wet, so I'm not surprised that the regular water one worked well!

Thank you so much 😊 It's my natural hair colour lightened a bit with 6% hydrogen peroxide. I explain that in those videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKu5ZIxorbh4nLcsi=mBBHwvr1WzSUnWqS kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpyTYqSborl5jKcsi=_3fW-7bKr1d5Rx7z

Yes, you can. You can also use lemon itself. Working as well to lighten hair.

My hair is medium brown, how long do you think it will take me to achieve a dark blonde tone by doing this?
@LoBelia-NaturalCare20 күн бұрын
After 4 applications, you should already see some difference. But keep in mind that this is a slow process, so it can take a few months to lighten your hair, as every hair type is different. I'm going to start an experiment on brown hair, so stay tuned 🙂

Hi, thanks for your experiments on trying to lighten hair. They are great. I have a request for you. My hair is now salt and pepper. My hair is a natural chestnut color. I've always had highlights done on my hair. Now, I want to avoid chemicals on my scalp and hair, but now that my hair is salt and pepper, I would like to turn my white hair into beautiful blond strands. Do you think camomile or lemon with or without sun can do the trick? Can you make one of your so controlled experiments with white hair strands? Thank you.

I don't think chamomile or lemon can make your white hair blonde. I would recommend trying cassia. I'm testing it now, and it gives a nice golden shade. Apparently, it can give golden / blonde tones to white hair. When I get white hair I will test some products. Thank you for your comment 😊

Is there chlorine in the water you use?
@LoBelia-NaturalCare2 ай бұрын
Most of the time I used filtered water. But in some cases it was straight from the tap.

Can I use a hair dryer?
@LoBelia-NaturalCare2 ай бұрын
Yes, you can use it. It can speed up the process, but it won't be as effective as UV rays.
