Perfect! Rain - or any water from the sky is so important, but yeah, seems you're ok, although you are probably right that another coat will be a good protection. It looks so nice to have that wall of glass and the welcoming patio. Fantastic new home for you. Its fun to watch your design process, the building and the lovely results.

the only way to waterproof plywood is to completely encapsulate both sides and all of the edges in fiberglass. even the smallest opening or crack will allow enough water in to start the rotting and delaminating process.

What I cant understand about deck treatments is that Thompsons water seal used to be the best. HOWEVER the can says 'Apply it once a year' WHAT?! It is only god for 1 year? House paint lasts for years N years N years. I just dont understand why deck treatment should need to be re applied so often. !
