Every year, environmental pollution claims more lives than the entire population of Colorado. This TEDx talk dives into a groundbreaking analysis from CU Boulder, revealing a global crisis of potential environmental rights violations. Packed with compelling data, vivid visualizations and urgent calls to action, it’s a wake-up call for collective action. Naia Ormaza Zulueta is a PhD student at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her work mainly analyzes environmental human rights and how these are intertwined with climate change. She is a current postgraduate “la Caixa” fellow, has collaborated with the UN Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights and holds a double B.Sc. in Physics and Electronic Engineering and an M.Res. in Methods and Models of Quantitative Economics. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
