why hold the CSP with the AMEX Gold? Not enough spend would go on the CSP to justify the annual fee if all the dining is going on the gold card. Just use the gold card and boundless as travel cards in my opinion.

Yep, great points. Just was a quick example at the end of how the Boundless could fit in a wallet setup. If you're tapping into the AmEx transfer partners for 1.5+CPP then there's no need for the CSP.

I use the Bonvoy Boundless for Costco. It still gives you the 3X there. Be aware that the card has family language that includes AMEX Marriott cards and former AMEX SPG cards

I got this card as a path to the ritz last year, and this card has been a beast. I converted the 5 nights to stays valued at about 1.1c/point yielding $2600 in value. I don’t find the 35k nights that useful, so I’m debating to upgrade to the Ritz now or wait for an elevated Brilliant offer once eligible for that bonus, then upgrade to the ritz. Plus, chase targeted offers granted 5x on groceries and restaurants so it’s been a good earner too this quarter.

That SUB value ($2,600!)... Pretty awesome. I need to learn a little bit more about the Ritz and the value it brings to the table (maybe some future videos coming on this).

So far as a newer card holder i like the bonus offers when they have an account linking promotion Couple Starbucks coffees have given me about 1600 marriot points in the last few months. Last week i linked my marriot card to a airline I probably will never fly for a extra 1k points. Took 3 minutes. Booked a Uber ride and got 1k in marriot points. They probably want me to keep it linked but I'm looking for the next promotion.

The no annual fee card is good to have for when you decide the card is no longer worth the fee but you want to keep the account open. You can just downgrade. At the moment I’m eying the sapphire preferred to get me started in the travel, just waiting for a couple of things to hit so I get the spend requirement met to get the welcome bonus. The following year I’m going to be thinking about a potential hotel specific card, one that has no fee or a $95 fee with a free night every anniversary.

Thinking ahead about a downgrade option is always a good idea. It's nice not to be locked in a card that may not be a perfect fit for you.

The Bevy is good to get the SUB and cancel after a year. IMO the best card is the Business card. The Brilliant might be ok for the super loyal Marriott folks.
