What kills me about these products is that I feel just about no one makes a quality one. Every manufacturer for some reason wants to create an "all in one" device that is somewhere between an easy bake oven and a somewhat useful appliance.

gimmicky gadgets like this are made as cheaply as possible with as few electrical components as possible. hence the timer not having any rotation and the temp control on the griddle being an on/off current. adding useful functionality would cost them extra.

Fun fact for the day, how easy an egg peels has nothing to do with the way it cooks. Fresh eggs are difficult to peel, a week or more old eggs peel easily. That's because the inside of the egg shrinks a bit while in storage. So if you want to always have easy to peel eggs, just let them sit for a few days!

The thing with toasters if you ask me, is that it all depends on. Is it a cold toaster or a warm toaster. On mine the first time I put bread in it in the morning. I have to set it to level two. However, if I am making additional toast after I've done that I have to set it to one or it burns. So in my experience, whether or not the toaster has been used recently determines how Brown the toast is. A cold toaster takes longer than a recently used warm toaster.

Thanks for the in-depth honest review. About 6 years ago I purchased something similar to this from Amazon mainly to make sausage McMuffins. It was able to cook the muffins but the egg cooker wasn't cooking properly or cooking at all. I ended up cooking the eggs and round sausages in pans to get it done. Cooked 1 muffin out of that thing and that was it. The timer didn't work too like yours.

I noticed when you did the bagel and meat... when you showed the bagel in the toaster just after the bacon and sausage went on the pan, the bottom and top of the bagel were against the heat. The inside of the bagel was on the cool side. It looks like it would work better with the top and bottom facing each other. That might have been the issue with your English Muffin during the first test. Also, thank you for clarifying the "Canadian bacon" part 😂 I'm from Canada and looked at what you threw on the grill and was like.. tf is that? That's not Canadian bacon! It gave me a good chuckle that you jumped at clarifying that 😂 Thank you for another honest and great review!

Today I'm learning.... In America, Canadian bacon ranges from a perfectly circle slice of ham on the cheap end to a slice of cured pork loin on the more upscale. In Canada, we call slices of belly meat as bacon (same as American). The circle round thing is ham and the slice of cured pork loin gets a coating in cornmeal that long ago used to be ground up peas but we still call it peameal back bacon.

You covered everything ✅️. Product seems worth it (under $50 would have even better). The heat regulating itself on and off I don't like. The egg took too long, hard boiled shells easy to peel a plus, toaster settings on point, griddle ok for odd shape pancake, bacon came out OK but precooked sausage probably best. Definitely made good on the steamed broccoli, though👍.

I would like to point out, those toast samples aren't a static test. Each time you run the toaster it was able to warm up the wires more and more by having the machine going. For a more accurate test you should let the toaster cool between 'batches' for five to ten minutes just to ensure it was actually back down to room temperature. Otherwise the mechanism was just staying warm and your toast is steadily getting darker and darker

I want to say the toaster doesn't isolate heat for the slices very well. So the element between the slices is apparently giving twice the "toasting" power than the outer side of the slice giving the uneven toasting.

The timer needs work. They should put a small microcontroller inside. Put in your toast/muffin/bagel and push it down (but it doesn't heat yet), then drop the egg and sausage/ham on the griddle and start the timer. Then as the eggs/meat cook, it turns on the toaster element (timed to the darkness setting) so the bread pops at at the same instant the eggs/meat are done. I have a Hamilton Beach Egg-A-Muffin maker. You heat it up with the sausage party first. Then remove the patty, put in the lower muffin, cheese, and sausage in the bottom ring, drop the egg ring down with the bottom slider in place, crack and egg into the ring, add salt, pepper, and then the top muffin, and close the top, 3:30 later, slide the ring bottom out - dropping the egg onto the meat, then open up the maker (3 levels) and its done! Perfect every time.

I must take aim at what you show as your toast test. I recently bought a KitchenAid toaster, and, as I like a fairly dark toast went and cooked multiple pieces of toast to get my desired darkness. however, when it came the next morning, there was a significant difference to the darkness compared to my tests. Do you allow a cooling off time between your tests or are they back-to-back, as this will definitely have a difference in the toasting and will ultimately skew any result.

I learned that the numbers on a toaster is not the level of darkness. It’s the number of minutes.

Could the toast be getting darker on the higher settings because the toaster was already hot from the previous rounds of testing? Try it again after the unit has cooled down.

This station would be good for someone who lives in a place that doesn’t have a kitchen.

How do you clean the toaster side? Does it have a removable tray?

I think all of these products are really only useful for dorms, campers, or offices in my case. Anywhere space is tight. I have the Nostalgia toaster oven that has been dependable while not overly useful. But it is nice to prepare a snack or last-minute meal.

As a Canadian, I'll clarify bacon. Bacon, is just bacon. Canadian bacon is peameal bacon (back bacon). That package that said Canadian Bacon is just ham. No Canadians think ham is bacon, that's just America trying to make us look slow. No worries though because we have had our revenge on this; we added pineapple to pizza and called it Hawaiian, so everything thinks you're responsible for it, and not us.

I love Canadian bacon and pineapple pizza. I used to have it when I lived in Japan in the 70's. A pizza joint called Shakeys in Yokohama. Live music with straw hats and banjos. It was called a Hawaiian pizza. Wonderful place!

Nostalgia products don't seem to work very well, but they sure are very cool looking. I'd use them as decorations.

Maybe the toaster setting 5 and 6 would be good for frozen bread. If you had no access to a regular kitchen I'd say you could cook a fairly large variety of foods with that station.
