In Triff's defense, Pendulums being both monsters, spells, extra deck monsters AND an outside resource once they get removed from the field gives them so many weird ass interactions it's not only understandable but expected that even the pend god wouldn't know about more than half of these.

To be fair, as far as I'm aware a monster that was flipped and then un-flipped remembers if it was: Special Summoned, Tribute Summoned, Fusion Summoned, Synchro Summon or Xyz Summoned... but does not remember being Pend Summoned. YGO is weird. Edit:Derped up and wrote link summoned.

It really doesn't get much harder than this one lol. They straight up decided to fuck him with the last 3 questions. Even I didn't instantly remember the Servant v. Dark Valkyria ruling perfectly off the top of my head, and as for question 7, Metalfoes Orichalc is literally 1 of *only 2* damage doubling cards in the game that are allowed to stack with other, run-of-the-mill damage doubling effects in that manner. Not to mention the "mistake" they made with Joker's zone placement for question 8, which may very well have been intentional. Some people in Coder's team really don't like Trif it seems lmao

about question 4, according to the rulings from ygorganization in their article "Demystifying Rulings, Part 13: Advanced Rulings" Monsters that are flipped face down remember how they are summoned when flipp face up again, so why would white wing magician forget this? Is this specific to pendulum? quote for anybody that cares "However, while the monster forgets that it was Summoned using specific Tributes or materials, it does not forget a general Special Summoning method (such as a Tribute Summon, Fusion Summon, Synchro Summon, etc.) For example, a Tribute Summoned monster that is banished temporarily will still be protected by March of the Monarchs when it returns to the field."

Random ruling question that I came across in live play. P1 activates Chaos Dragon Levianeer by banishing 2 Lights and 1 Dark from GY, activates the effect to destroy up to 2 cards on the field. Makes a mistake here and declares the targets to be opponents two back row even though Levianeer does not target. P2 chains the backrows to Levianeers effect. After this P1 realises that Levianeer doesn't target are they allowed on resolution of Levianeer to destroy other cards on the field or do they have to complete the effect with the original targets even though the effect does not target?

Regarding rulings about spellcounters: it's a shame that only cards that have effects related to spellcounters can have them, by that logic non-alien monsters cannot hold a-counters edit: corrected spelling of thar to that. edit 2: yes I'm aware a-counters and spellcounters and even venom counters function differently, but I'm saying spellcounters fell more restrictive compared to other counters

I think the main thing is that Spell Counter holders have a set limit/implied limit to how many can be held at a time and are more baked into the cards, whereas A Counters, Venom Counters, and even Venom Counters function more like Guard Counters. They have no limit to them and are intended to be placed onto monsters that cannot use nor generate them too directly. Kinda like, if you could Spell Power Grasp any monster.

It's really silly that spell counters can't be put on every card. They still have to be put on cards by card effects, so it's not like every face-up card passively accumulates masses of spell counters to be abused by a spell-counter-using card that rolls around eventually.

I don't get the last question, if skullcrobat was summoned from the extra deck how can it even activate its effect for the toad to negate? cause toad negates and set, then at that point skull must have been normal summon so whim witch shouldn't activate?

it gets treated as an extra deck monster, because the Toadally Awesome first destroys it before summoning it. So it goes from field to face up extra deck and then to the opponents field.
